100% agree. his new album I got in my rotation right now and I have half listened to it while working. Some parts of it sound pretty interesting so looking forward to listening again soon

Check out Caamp, they're my favourite band of the last few years. If you have any along the same lines of Tallest Man, I'm all ears

There's a little known band named Caamp that I love. Sons of the East, Noah Kahan, San Fermin.

Also back in to JJ Cale lately.

Ever listen to The Tallest Man on Earth? I gave Sons of the East a quick listen and I immediately thought of them. Was a big of his 2019 album "I Love You. It's a Fever Dream".

I thought his first 2 albums were interesting until it just sounded like another bob dylan rip off.

So I did my PHD in musicology and my list is rather unconventional. I’m into a ton of African music right now.

This is my favourite song right now.

I also saw this guy a few years ago and he just blew my mind playing 3 keyboards.

I need recommendations.

HipHop
Punk Rock
Electric emd house stuff
Youtube lofi mixes that really help in getting work done.

I used to dig for good music but now I just lazily listen to youtube mixes put together by people. Theres this guy named Nicola Armelin who posts some good golden era stuff. I just download an mp3 and save it to my phone .

In the gym it's strictly Humble Pie, funk and 90s hip-hop:

Only ambient and dub techno for walks or in the car:

I had Stick Season on repeat a few weeks back.

Don't really vibe with modern hiphop and rnb but there's a few things I like from Central Cee and Coast Contra.

I just find myself going backwards mostly in terms of music. Was pumping the original New York Undercover soundtrack recently. Getting back into Radiohead. Snow Patrol. Some Cure has found its way into various playlists. Nice and Smooth's Sometimes I Rhyme Slow had heavy rotation - most likely cause I can't stand that the countrified version of Fast Car has gotten so popular. I just hope Tracy Chapman is making some bank off of it.

I am a bigger fan of solo Billy Woods as I find Elucid a bit annoying, but Armand Hammer is still great. Diabetic Test Strips is easily their best album together tho IMO.

I greatly prefer Maps (Billy Woods solo album) however.

After the Drake and Travis albums I gave up on mainstream hip hop. Drakes was garbage but people actually liked Travis’s, I don’t get it. Just sticking with international stuff like Afrobeats, Amapiano, reggaeton, dembow, bachata
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

I like Travis Scott - his music is just fun. Drake is boring af though.

Lots of good hip-hop out there though, most is just not "mainstream" but there are still plenty of guys doing awesome work

Ever since I was introduced to Linkin Park and Sum 41 in the late 90s/early 2000s, I've always gravitated towards metal/punk/alternative music, but I've also always had a very open mind when it comes to listening to something new. I'm interested to know what we're all vibing with at this moment, and maybe we can all find some new tunes to add to our playlists too.

For me, I have been absolutely obsessed with a band called Spiritbox for the past few years. They don't have a huge catalog because they have only been together for about 6 years, but they have one of the most widespread ranges of sound that I've ever come across in the metal/rock realm when it comes to current artists. They generally lean more towards the metal side of the spectrum, but they have numerous pop-esque kinds of ballads and they recently released a remixed version of Megan Thee Stallion's new song "Cobra" too which instantly threw me back to the Linkin Park/Jay-Z collab 20 years ago. Below are some of their songs (ranging from the most radio accessible to the heaviest/angriest) that I'd like to share. If you check anything out, share your thoughts and keep the ball rolling with more recommendations of whichever genre!

Kinda been all over the place.

SOS by SZA, Love Album by Diddy, Undeniable by B.Rob, the soundtrack from Boomerang, The Rebirth of Marvin by October London, Confessions by Usher...a lil Wu-Tang, a lil soca and some 80s R&B/Pop.

Big Thief stretch way beyond folk but yeah they are great. Saw them when their last album came out. adriene lenker's singing and songs are just amazing. plus wild women with guitars always get my full attention. i can't help it. it's why pj harvey is permanently on my playlist.

It was okay, I was referring to his latest. HND is more indie electronic style and he had some experimental stuff with a jersey club track (sticky) and afrobeats track (text go green) but overall I felt the sound was a little outdated. He did kind of hit ahead with Sticky as Uzi dropped that track later that blew up, maybe should have leaned into that a bit more. Also could have gotten ahead on the Amapiano sound that’s hitting as well instead of the indie electronic stuff
