Here's one example of how they botched something. In 2017 they decided to play a game in the old arena. Against the Celtics. The site of lots of epic battles. The site of many great teams. I went and expected there would be some former Bucks players who played there. Maybe some former Celtics too. Nope. Not one. The only former Bucks player who was there was Michael Redd, who never played in the arena. But at least I thought they'd do something at halftime. Nope, they had some dumb ass painters. Totally botched.

Yup. Because they do it every single year. Often more than once a year. In a stadium where that team didn't play. This was a one time thing in an arena where the team used to play. This wasn't a celebration of a single team that lost the WS. It was a (supposedly) celebration of many teams and many great players. AND they actually won a championship while playing in that arena. Not apples to apples at all IMO.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Was somewhat visible until people showed up and sat in their seats. It would be one thing if it was crowded or limited, but you really can't see the under the best of circumstances. Makes more sense for brewers games where you have unregulated upper deck seating or large areas where you can get an unobstructed view, but the Fiserve just wasn't designed for it.

"You are guaranteed a Standing Room Only ticket and access into Fiserv Forum. If available inventory in the arena bowl is available, your seat location could potentially get moved to a seated ticket."
So far no seating assigned despite there being plenty of "Standard Tickets" available on Ticketmaster. I guess maybe Wednesday will be a good test, but it seems like they aren't bothering assigning seats.

Why anyone would want to just be "in the building" for all 41 games boggles my mind. I had SRO for Game 6 and even though I was standing behind some shorter folks on the half court rail couldn't see jack. Worth it to me for that once in a lifetime game but who's going mid week against a middling opponent, standing in line for the doors to open then running to get one of the few spots with an actual view of the court. Or if not that sitting at a table with no view of the court and paying crazy concession prices. Like you said AmFam is conducive to SRO, with plenty of places to stand with a pretty good view of the field. Fiserv SRO is a joke.

Yeah, in my defense I had not experienced SRO before and thought you could atleast see a little better on main games (Go with a buddy, get there early to see Victor) and for bad games I assumed I would get actual seats (as quoted above) where I could take my toddler for a half. I guess we will see tonight if they distribute available seats, but there is a HUGE difference between standing room only where you sell 200 and you have 100 places where you can see standing up and doing what the bucks did 200 414 passes plus additional SRO where there are literally maybe 15 places you can actually see the game if under 6 foot. Remove the chairs or RL if you are selling SRO.

I know you are probably mostly joking, but the big difference is the Bucks won it all there. A lot of us thought it was weird how much we honored a runner-up. It isn't like they would do 5x a year, but if you are playing in your old arena it makes a ton of sense to do a nostalgia game.

That Mecca game was underrated. I really wish they would have made it an annual event but I'm sure logistics are crazy.

OMG I was at the game and I was watching and saying to my wife, "Is this for real?? When is the skill going to be shown?" There was ZERO skill in it. They played some pump up music, light break dancing and stencils! I was shocked and they introduced them like "For the first time at FISERV!!!" like it was a huge deal.

I've seen a speed painter at FISERV that actually really impressed me and this was just NOTHING.

I was rooting for them but it was just bad. It felt like it was all a joke and something is going to come out in a few months that they are scamming teams or creating some sort of prank documentary. Like that yo yo guy K-Strass

Rather watch randoms from the crowd attempt half court shots than watch that.

Any recommendations on where to look for street parking or where to park? Going to the game Monday, checked spothero, and I had some sticker shock with those prices.

I believe they extended meter hours to 9:00, greedy bastards. Park at one at your own risk of a ticket. Not sure about unmetered parking. I use a friend's work parking so I don't pay but yeah I saw some close lots at $50-$55 for the home opener. Crazy.

ETA the meters are 2 hours so you would be covered for that time but I'm sure they aggressively enforce those meters on game nights.

Yeah, the lot I love has gotten harder and harder to justify. Used to be like $20 and closer to the arena as was BC, but now it is like $35-50 depending on the game. I try to find parking on the streets by businesses west of the arena but its a complete crapshoot if within 2 hours of tip-off. I hate ramps because take awhile to get out. I generally pay the extra money as both surface lots I use are back on I-43 north within 5-10 minutes of getting to car.

Glad ton of tickets sold early as interest seems to be gone now. Had to return my Bulls tickets tonight for credit as no one wanted them and had them priced under face. Wild rollercoaster so far haha!

Depends on priorities. If it is a nice night I usually park north-east of Juneau on water or an adjacent street. Its a 20 minute walk but I find it easy mentally. Not as frustrating finding a spot as it is on the west or east side. You are almost guaranteed a spot over there if you keep going. Leaving the game the walk is nice and way better than being frustrated waiting an hour in a parking structure. Usually is relatively safe considering all the activity on water/well-lit.

Thanks! I parked over by where Bar Louie was. Tons of street parking available there.

I stumbled upon parking by the MSOE, Viets field one time and now I usually go straight there. Almost always find a few open street parking spots, and just a block or two from the river and those restaurants. Well lit and usually a good amount of people in the area, back and forth from the arena.

The meter thing never happened.
