Let's accept that teams have not figured out how to guard Black yet, and that his numbers will plummet. But so far: his per36 numbers are at a video game level.
His PER=18.0 is due to an eFG% north of 80%. He is shooting 79% with his 2-ball and 56% with his 3-ball. Also: his assist/TO is above 2, a very good line for a rookie guard.
If the Magic were to trade Fultz and Suggs for a SG upgrade and go with this depth chart, heck: why not?
Black/Anthony/some-dude
stud-SG/G-Harris/Howard
F-Wagner/Ingles/Houstan
Banchero/Isaac/Schofield
Carter/M-Wagner/Bitadze
That looks like a playoff team to me. It won't make it out of round-1. But I do like it.
