NOpe they have benefited playing teams at hime missing stars, sac with no fox, Denver with no Murray etc.

Depends on what you mean by for real. Are they the 4th best team in the west? I doubt it. Are they a team that can give good teams trouble and win against good teams sometimes? I think they are.

Are the Rockets a play-in team? I say no before the start of the season. Now, I am not sure. They did beat LAL, NOP, and DEN. Now have a min vacation until Friday to play the Clippers. Right now, it looks like MEM, UTA, POR, SAS, HOU or OKC will miss the play-in.

I think rockets will for sure be a play in team.

That loss to the Raptors looks so bad right now.

Looks like CHI is looking to break things up. Zach or DeRozan could end up with Lakers. I won't mind if we get DeRozan or Hayward in a buy out situation. Hopefully Zach stays out east - going to NYK, BKN, PHI, or MIA.

Some of you watching SAS vs OKC must be saying SAS trying to force feed Wemby too much like Wolves with Gobert. I think the reality is NBA players are really suck at passing these days. Not even a Pop lead team could do the simple take a dribble to find better passing lane or aim high when throw a pass to Wemby.

Haliburton dominated tonight's game. Get him here to pair up with Ant would be awesome.

The Pacers beat the 76ers and the Pelicans are up 33 points on Dallas early in the 4th Quarter. We win tonight and we might find ourselves #1 in the NBA in Power rankings and record.

We’d have to trade Ant to get him…

But I wonder if the Kings would’ve taken Towns for him instead of Sabonis?

How about trading for Tyus Jones as a backup PG?

I think at least one reserve guard will be added at the trade deadline. The tricky thing with Tyus is his impending UFA status. And while usually a team get someone in their building to get an upper hand going into free agency, Tyus knows all there is to know about this market and this organization. I don't think trading for him at the deadline would alter our chances of signing him, with the possible exception of the importance of holding Bird rights and the unknown of our taxpayer status.

Jones at 14mil is fairly impossible right now unless you want to trade Towns :D

No it's not at all. 2 for 1s happen all of the time.

I think Tyus is fine. Not great. But fine. Similar as Monte Morris or Delon Wright. What’s clear, however, is that we’re just going to decide to let Anderson/Conley walk (or we move Gobert or Towns), we won’t be able to sign him this offseason. Because of that, I can’t imagine use giving up assets for him. We’ll need our picks, even second round, to get cheap players to fill out the roster.

Tyus Jones is a starter now and will want to get paid like one, and I don’t think he will be worth it.

I wonder if this WAS experience affects his priorities... I mean he is a system player, he looked good in MEM because they had a well balanced system and he had a clear role. Playing with in losing environment next to Poole and Kuzma is not the same experience. Meanwhile MIN has been showing some promising signs of development. This is his hometown and honestly he fits here like a glove as pass-first, high IQ PG. Maybe he is willing to sign 30mil/3yrs contract with MIN? Can we make it work financially?

I mean Tyus profile might not look impressive, but I strongly believe that we have enough talent, while our biggest improvement area is decision making, execution and high IQ reads.

NBA tv has Michael Grady doing commentary. They are already trying to take him way from us. Damn, dude will be on TNT before we know it. :(

Speaking of that game, the Warriors are getting obliterated by the Thunder.

If I am trying to define archetype a player who I want Connelly to draft in 2024, I am looking at Kyle Anderson: versatile defender, glue guy. 6'7"-6'9", 220-230lbs, 6'9"-7'+ wingspan. But first and foremost he should be a mature, high IQ, low ego player. Jaime Jaquez is a perfect example of such player. I can easily imagine Jaquez playing with our bench unit and with starters. He can play next to Gobert-Towns duo as SF, or as PF next to Gobert. Watching Anderson playing at PF or SF I think that it is always a compromise in defense. Or better, it should be a matchup driven decision from coaching staff.
