The league started to add 1990s finals games on their site. Maybe they are slowly giving us more footage (though I don't have a hope of them reaching the 1960s)...

You can watch all NBA finals games now from 1990 to 2022 on NBA.com page here:

The YouTube channel Dunkman827 is basically doing highlights of every Shaq LSU game for anyone interested.

He’s got more stuff on the channel than that of course but that’s his current run it’s been pretty fun so far.

I’d assume everyone on here knows all about the Wilt Chamberlain archive since Dan is also popular on Reddit over the years but another good channel for the dipper I’ve found so far over the years is Foobas sports (they have other good footage than Wilt also) it’s pretty cool that they recolour a lot of things as well really brings it to life.

Special upload for Jerry West's 85th birthday. Arguably the greatest clutch performer in the league history!

The best series of his career with everything considered imo. I remember a smaller conversation circulating about the 1969 finals under the yearly Lakers/LBJ thread, about finding a modern day equivalent (linked it below). The difficulty to do so goes to show the historical significance of such a finals for both teams and players (in West and Russell). While the title didn’t come, it’s very cool to see how the series influenced the narrative / summation for West’s career. As always, thank you for the hard work in compiling such footage!

I know most people won't care about it in the middle of the finals, but I finally found the first Dantley game at Detroit after the infamous trade. It was clear that Dantley took it personal and he played really well throughout of the first half (my version misses the whole 4th quarter):

I hope that at least some of you will enjoy it as much as I do :D

Nice little video with Ruland in action. He was a very talented player, a shame that injuries destroyed his potential career.

I keep on accidentally clicking on links to stupid 2k videos and it is annoying.

2k players do not move like humans yet.
Who would watch a 2k sports video?

Ruland was a good interesting player but not close to Jokic’s level of ball handling, passing and outside shooting.

Jokic is bigger heavier but Ruland was more physical as in throwing his body into other players.

Though Ruland is closer to Jokic’s size I see Bird as being more similar to Jokic. Bird at a true 6’ 9” without shoe lies was big but not Jokic big.

Usually guys Bird’s size get called 6’ 10” because they accept the standard NBA height lie. Magic was 6’ 7” but listed as 6’ 9”.

I remember listening to Radio Johnyy Most calling a Celtics playoff game vs the Bullets. Johnny most was calling Ruland and Mahorn McFilthy and McNasty although I can’t remember which was was which. Ruland and Mahorn were smashing Celtics guards with hard moving screens with elbows to the faces of the Celtic guards which showed up in the stats as Bullets turnovers when they got called.

Bullets wee not that good but they were tough and were along with 76ers Celtics and Bucks part of why Eastern conference Fans viewed the East as rugged basketball and viewed the West as soft basketball with no defense se. Bullets worked hard some years but did not have enough talent to go with Ruland.

It's quite rare to see young Sabonis with such an amazing scoring performance.

This might be the only Moses vs Admiral duel available on YT, so I hope you will enjoy the battle of two of the greatest centers in the league history :)
