Only Zu can get blocked by guys like Jackson and Braun.

Interesting. I've always seen Kawhi as the ultimate garbageman--and I mean that in a good way. The putback, the block flying out of nowhere, a steal, the bailout jumper with the clock running down. Turning a losing possession into points or a turnover going the other way.

He is NOT an initiator. He's a reactor. Not a puncher--a counterpuncher. He has nothing to work with here.

kawhi's been looking like last year's PG: mega cringe every time he touches the ball. he's bad, like legit straight up bad. like, "he's 39 years old now and probably gonna retire in a year or two" bad.

i know plenty of people are hanging their hats on harden, westbrook, or lue being the culprits for all these losses (and boy, may your god or gods help you if you think it's lue), but neither paul george nor kawhi leonard have been playing at the level necessary for this team to win. and they haven't for many games now. so, until those guys show up, this team will find ways to lose every night.

Leonard and PG were playing great before the trade. It was like finally at the same time.

It’s been a rough go since for sure.

A few things…
Kawhi looks small defended by Gordon. The passes between everyone aren’t crisp. Harden stands with the ball for too long. He needs to just get it and go even if he doesn’t have a plan. PG was great but he’s only great in small spurts. Never an entire game. Zu’s not doing anything.
Mann is solid though

You're both right. Kawhi never really plays badly. He ALWAYS gets his numbers--including plus/minus. It's just impossible for him to suck.

The question is whether he pulls the team to victory or just rides the cart to a loss.

Holds the ball. Doubt he'll change.

The Nuggets are playing down to us and basically treating it like a preseason game. This team is a sad joke.

Supposedly PJ Tucker is complaining about his minutes.. the nerve of this guy. And Lue keeps sitting Mann for him. F*cking ridiculous!! Zu playing damn near the entire first half isn't the move. Mix Diabate into the game. Is it getting close to the end for Kawhi?

ALWAYS need more T-Mann. The problem is, you don't get any. 0 points in 11 minutes, minus-5. This does not move the needle.

if there's any coach who can possibly get harden to at least feign changing his stripes every now and then, it'd be lue.

the situation is different and the necessities are different as well. he's no longer in a situation where he is the undisputed best player on the team, with carte blanche to do as he sees fit. he may have shared superstar status with KD and embiid, but he also had two coaches with doc and nash who weren't ever gonna be willing to corral him in for the good of the team. so, if i'm being hopeful i think there's reasonable give and take on all sides for adjustments.

We are missing too many open shots. Period. Doesn't matter if they're fast or slow. You don't make shots against any team you pay.

Chuck & Reggie summed it up. We’re a bad mix of players. Too slow and nobody’s gonna get these old guys to run & play faster. It’s not their game. No size.

Damn, it really is Morris all over again. Delusional washed player with an entitlement complex and Lue coddles him instead of giving him a reality check. :nonono:

Yes, it's painful, but...

I saw Beard with the Sixers last year. I didn't love it, but he won the assist title because everybody else was busting ass, running and cutting and getting open. Screening out. Drive and kick it back out. And alley-ooping. This team does NONE of that.

For The Record--Doc won 54 games with Beard. No need to drag him into this. Beard failed in the playoffs but the regular season went just fine.

I'm not watching the game but if that's the case no wonder this teams moral is in shambles. What an epic breakdown lol

All you can do is make Jokic work and contest, then hope for the best and Zubac has done just that tonight.

Zu has already played his 24 minute limit of effectiveness

and it's only halfway through the 3rd

heroic, this is already a must game
at least to not die like dogs

quite impressed by zu tonight

box score warriors will screech and lament that he hasn't been doing more or that he's missing all his shots

but this guy has been legit impact around the rim all night. that's what we pay him for, and honestly he's a luxury for us at his price.
