. I don't know why i bother to respond to these posts about Bonds. I guess it's cause i think he has been done so very wrong. Most of the time, i get beat up pretty bad verbally, i promise myself to let a few skip by...here i am again.

Chach, maybe you misunderstood but i was talking of two Bonds, the media villen Bonds to be ignored and the real man himself. I'm very proud to be, in a small way, associated with him. The way he carried himself this season, to me, unbelievably classy. Not once in all the oppertunities given him, did he blast anybody; Selig, Aaron, Schilling, sirenge throwers, boo dudes, hostile sign carriers, verbal abusers in the stands, inconsiderate media, even his own team that he has done so much for and helped pack the house, it goes on and on. Barry kept his cool and carried himself with class through it all.

I hope his marked HR ball is never displayed, he lands on a team that needs him, and that i won't have to pay to see the games on TV. Thanks Chach, you're a good dude. I hear your side too and your not wrong. I just wish it didn't have to be that way.

Don't get me wrong, I think that while Bonds has come across as a prick at times, the crucification he has received from the media is unwarranted. It sucks he has to go through this and while some of the criticism he has received is his own fault, it is definitely excessive. mahalo

It's pretty sad that all people know about the greatest baseball player since Babe Ruth is that he used steroids and he's an ****. They don't know that he was the greatest player in baseball from 1990 to 2004.

His career averages are better than any single A-Rod season, for instance. People don't get this.

When someone gives him a 1-year deal they are getting, without question, the best value on the free agency market. Stick him at DH and let him put up a .460 OBP and 1100 OPS. All it'll cost you is 16 million dollars. Not even a draft pick because the Giants probably won't offer him arbitration.

Some very good post Chach,I agree with you. I'm not a Bonds fan(Would be if he ends up in Oakland). But I have no problem with him or anyone else in the sport of baseball, for trying to become a better player, and if using steroids was the case than so be it,they didnt cheat the game of baseball,Gaylord Perry is in the Hall of Fame, and cheated most of his career,if not all of it. So for these players not making the Hall of Fame in there first chance like McGwire is a shame, they didnt cheat the game by doctoring the balls,or bats they did it by getting bigger and stronger.
