What Does Curry have to Do to Pass LeBron All-Time?

Post#1 » by bballfan1three3 » Thu Nov 16, 2023 10:15 pm

Tldr what does Curry have to do to pass LeBron all time

What does Curry have to do to pass the chosen one? I hoenepy don't think some miracle run to a nother cho pit him above LeBron. Lebrons resume is too good. BUT, 2 more ships, however unlikely, I think WOULD put him in Above LeBron.

No other player has ever played LeBron to a standstill. Curry is the true rival of the LeBron era and is severely underrated. As a Cleveland fan

This year proves it even more, warriors are dog **** without curry and a top 5 team with him. At 35

Should be applauded just as much as Bron IMO

He already has him 3-1 in finals matchups.

If Lebron achieved what Curry has done he'd be considered the undisputed GOAT.

I don't think he can. Lebron is better than Curry in almost all major statistical categories. Curry shoots better than just about anyone but that alone can't make him top 2 ever.

Yeah but Steph didn't win Finals MVP in any of those.

Highly doubt LeBron would be considered undisputed GOAT if he was roughly half as accomplished as he is now.

Nothing, we watched them play side by side and one was clearly better at basketball even in their losses. GOAT lists ain't just rangz.

Just not possible. LeBron was better during Curry's peak years.

Curry is excellent (top 10) but he doesn't have a chance to be the GOAT

If Curry did what Lebron did, he’d be better than Jordan undisputedly.

Quite literally nothing. LeBron has as many all-NBA selections since turning 30 as Steph does total in his career, and LeBron had another 10 before turning 30. LeBron has 16,873 more points than Steph. Kawhi, for example, has scored 12,529 points in his entire career. The gap between the two is enormous. Crying to KD in the parking lot after choking in 2016 doesn’t change that.

Take 3 different super teams and only win 4 titles?

Curry only had 3 years with a super team and everyone discounts those years because it was unfair.

Do you see the disconnect?

You mean LeBron would be the undisputed GOAT if he had scored 16,873 fewer regular season points, 4,057 fewer playoff points, won two fewer regular season MVPs, won three fewer finals MVPs, been named to 10 fewer all-NBA teams, and six fewer all-defensive teams? Sure, sounds legit.

You think he’d the the undisputed GOAT if one of his teammates won all but one of his finals mvps instead? if he added a 1-3 collapse on a 73-win team to his resume?

Well, that would be very tough to say the least. First, I think Curry needs to win at least a couple more championships to get the conversation start. Second, Curry's total points are 22k and Lebron is 39k. Curry needs to score at least 30k, which means 4 years of 26.7 ppg for 75 games per season. Even then, I am not sure he can be ranked #2 in all time.

yea if lebron had his same longevity but accomplished what curry has he'd be the undisputed goat. You're just listing counting stats.

debatable that curry even has a media driven award as if 11 drunk media members is supposed to sway my opinion.

It's simply not possible. There's not enough time left for Curry to win titles, get counting stats, get the All-Star/NBA nods, etc.

Maybe if Curry was 30 years old or so, he could bridge the gap a bit (though it would be heavily balanced towards LeBron) and win a few more titles to tip the scale, let's say, 6 or 7... still extremely difficult.

Curry is already in the 11-18 all-time range IMHO, and that's still a heck of a career.

Let's put it this way. If Lebron had stayed in Cleveland and won 4 titles with Cleveland while beating the supposed GOAT 3 out 4 times. Yea he'd be undisputed

He can't do anything.

He's not as good. And that's okay.
