Was looking up Dame's BR page to compare his USG with Holiday on the Bucks. Glitched out on his page, not Jrue's. So I couldn't get a look.

But Holiday handled a fair amount last year & in the previous playoffs. Dame should at least clear that.

FWIW, I'm not sure USG% is what you think it is. It's largely calculated on shot attempts, free throw attempts, and turnovers relative to team attempts. Just with the time he spends at the line, he'll clear him by a significant margin.

Brook is the guy who most needs to get right. For whatever his problems are on defense, hes still an asset on offense...yet he looks like trash on that end. We have seen him get very little opportunity in the paint this season and thats almost criminal. If he gets right, it adds another dimension. Praying hes not washed.

I want Caruso but I think we're crazy to give them any of our young guys.

How about PAT C, Midds, and 4 second rounders for Caruso and Lavine lol

Brook is indeed our biggest issue. Dame and Giannis will figure it out at some point. They are both winners and willing to sacrifice stuff to succeed. Midds is already looking awesome and I’m comfortable this will not change once he gets back to 30ish minutes.

The thing with Brook is you can’t tell if the problem is Griffin, age or the new shiny contract. You can’t change age or contract, so I hope it’s Griffin. Maybe his struggles is an opportunity to talk Giannis into spending more time at C.

I’m worried less about the SG spot. Beasley might keep his hot shooting, MarJon could take a leap, Pat is possible to show up when it matters, AJJ is already showing flashes. Something will work.

Brooks issue look like a big ole combination of all the above. He looks noticeably slower to me.

Hes single handedly holding down the paint when he isn't forced to come out though. And our rebounding is bad but when he's out it's easily the worst in the league by a wide margin.

Someone was going to have to sacrifice stats with Dame and Beasley joining the starting lineup.

He's also got the worst +/- on the team. I know its not the greatest stat in the world in small sample size's but he's been a big part of some bad runs.

Right on. Was thinking of touches/time of possession.

As stands with a cursory glance at this season...
Giannis is getting more touches than Dame but also handling the ball for less time.

Brook has looked more than a bit frustrated at times on defense.

It's an awkward fit for the D but he still got 7 blocks against the Raps.

He got seven blocks because they finally played a contain and funnel D for the first two quarters and most of the third. And they were up 30 (somewhat due to three point variance but the Bucks were getting wide open threes for everyone, including good shooters in the corners, and the Raptors were getting more roughly contested twos and above the break/off the dribble threes).

He’s extremely useful in that system and it also protects Dame/Beas/Pat from getting too exposed.

They can still play aggressive man when he is off the floor.

Bulls losing to the Magic by 17 pts. Every player is a minus except for Caruso who is a +5. He started tonight. You guys need this man on your team

So I don’t know much about Caruso’s game other than him being a nice role player. I assume he must have Jrue like defensive skills from the guard position to be this sought after?

He's the best defensive player in the league when it comes to defensive impact metrics. As an isolation defender he's not Jrue, but as a total one, he's probably on another plane. Dude blows up a TON of stuff off ball.

If you have a coach who wants to play super aggressive D and have players always rotating and trying for steals: you really want Caruso on your team.

Having Caruso and AJJ out there with Dame/Midds/GA would be ideal.

Plus Caruso could be tossed on Tatum types to annoy them. And he would also work in drop chasing guards around screens. He’s super versatile on D.

Waive Robin and tell Brook we at least got his brother paid. Or include Livingston to Chicago if they have interest.

MKE: Alex Caruso, Jaylin Williams
OKC: Bobby Portis
CHI: Alexsej Pokusevski, MIA '25 1st (Top-14 Protected)

I think we'd have to include the Portland 2nd in that trade since were getting the best player and a prospect. Hate trading Bobby but I'd do it since that trade makes us a better playoff team.

Maybe. But in a vacuum, Bobby and Caruso are near equals, IMO.

I would still do it, though. #31-34 is not a dealbreaker.

Any way to do this with out Bobby, I know he has his warts but he seems like a glue guy who gives us positive minutes. plus he's a big and we really don't have any on the team after him .
