This one sounds like it should be one of those "Celtics porn" games where they win easily and we all party for 3 hours.

Al with a big left toe sprain?
Did he get that from kicking Joel’s ass all over the court on Wednesday night?

Call me crazy but I'd sit Zinger and maybe play Al limited minutes. Take our chances with Luke and maybe small ball it with Oshae.

We still have to play Bulls and Magic in our group in the next week or so.
The 6 winners of each group plus 2 wildcards advance to the Knockout round starting Dec 4.
I'm wildly apathetic over it being a tournament game.

I have found myself getting weirdly hyped for the in season tournament after expecting not to care at all.

If they show up and play like they can, it should be a short night for the starters regardless. OG isn’t playing and these guys aren’t on our level even with him

Uhhh basically the players and Adam Silver. That’s about it for the most part. Hard to get excited as a fan about a no-prestige trophy. No disrespect to JT, but I don’t care about his participation ECFMVP trophy either.
I wish they had set it up in a way that was more inter-conference so at least you could see some rarer matchups potentially but I guess they’d have to break the schedule for that.

I read somewhere that this Raptors team is just athletes masquerading as basketball players and it stuck.

I think many will be surprised and disappointed in what Brown + contract will be able to get in return.
So true. The egos of the haters here might never get over the shock of how big the return would be.
If Harden, an obviously bad basketball player, malcontent, and serial quitter could still fetch multiple firsts and a slew of role players then I think we'd find a solid package for Brown.

Guys on the bench who don't make big dollars (NBA wise) and can really get a good bonus from winning it.
It would mean a lot to them and locker room vibes if our starters cared enough to get them paid more.

These group play games are for seeding and not very different from a regular game. But I think it will get exciting once it gets to the Knockout round and Championship game.
If the Celtics advance it will hard for even the biggest tourney haters to resist getting pumped and cheering them on. Why would we not want our team to win a trophy? And even if it's not the C's we should get some very competitive basketball as it goes on.
So not that the Tournament was something I thought I needed in my life before they came up with it, but as someone who enjoys good NBA basketball I think it's pretty cool.

Only thing that concerns me is the final, if they could figure out a way where all other games are also RS games why couldn’t they do that for that too? Is it so they can make extra $$$ from TV revenue? Because it isn’t a RS game teams are in a bit of a bind about risking players getting injured.
Well that and the majority of abysmal courts.
