We got options. We got guys who can step up when others are having an off night. One night, it's White and KP. Another night, it could be Jrue and JB. Horford and Hauser can pick up the slack in the 1st half like today. Every VC should really go to Brad Stevens the genius really.

JB or Jrue. Jrue really settled us down offensively with Tatum struggling and JB was just super efficient all night.

NBA needs to get rid of these **** courts. Feels like when you play a 8 year old online on my team in 2k..only thing missing is the glow in the dark basketball. Not only are they horrible to look at, but they are dangerous also.

We definitely lose this game in prior seasons especially with Tatum having a bad game. Jrue settled everyone down and made the right play

This was a clear Team Effort. Puffs to Kristaps, Jaylen, Al, Sam, Jrue & Derrick. Too bad Tatum just keeps shooting 3's instead of working inside the line. Tatum could have made this one a lot easier if he moved in closer to the basket instead of 1-11 from 3.

An alternative perspective:

Pts. + Rebounds + (0.5 x Assists) + Steals + (0.5 x Blocks) - Missed FGs - (0.5 x Missed Free Throws) - Turnovers - (0.5 x Fouls)

+20.5 Kristaps Porzingis (35 minutes)
+20 Jaylen Brown (36 minutes)

+14.5 Al Horford (23 minutes)
+13.5 Sam Hauser (17 minutes)

+13.5 Jrue Holiday (35 minutes)
+12 Derrick White (34 minutes)

+7.5 Jayson Tatum (37 minutes)
+5 Payton Pritchard (17 minutes)

Team Total = 106.5

Brown slipped three times in the first half, more than anyone else. I was muttering then that he should change sneakers at halftime. That didn't look good. I hope he's ok.

We won on the road in a tournament game with Tatum shooting absolutely terrible. Team gutted it out, JB was the #2 we needed tonight. Big win, championship level resolve by them. Feels like the 5th or 6th game already this year that we can easily say "we would've lost this game last year."

7 guys in double figure scoring. All 8 guys that played have multiple assists and at least 3 rebounds. No one played more than 37 minutes but I wish Joe trusted his deep bench more. JB led the scoring and made key plays down the stretch but it was a team effort. Jrue, Al, and White just add steadiness to this group.

I'm kind of scared I'm not nervous at the end of games but so far it just FEELS like we will close well. I'm always nervously engaged not because I think we won't do well but because sometimes even when you do the right things the game wont go your way. our two losses are examples of that, we closed very well but ant exploded and a missed chance to tie by a hair.

Didn’t like the collapse, maybe they would have won last year but I’d have my doubts. Closed well. Was a good idea to get the ball to Porzingis late, and letting Jrue play make.

Tatum did nothing but settle 90% of the night. That was disappointing. Law of averages I guess.

Cs would've won 60 games if they didn't lose games that they shouldn't have.

Perfect example is Grant at the FT line with no time left and the score was tied.
All Grant had to do was make one and the Cs would've won.
But he missed both!

There were lots of games the Cs lost last season because of incompetence.

Honestly, I hated that game. Hated the shot selection. Undoes much of the progress of the last few games from a process perspective.

Brown was the player of the game. Played smart and efficient the whole way. Jrue gets my second vote for his D and control on offense. Has to be said though, D White is turning into a 4th Q assassin. The best thing was the offense flowed way better down the stretch even though we missed a bunch of looks. I like they went to White and Porzingis in the post down the stretch instead of iso Tatum/Brown. Progress.

It’ll probably be during the extra championship game and we’ll quickly never hear about this tournament again.

He looked tired at the beginning of the fourth quarter to me.

It is true we were really bad in close games and OT games in 2022-23, but we didn't lose them all lol.

Tatum usually has one of these types of games where he can't buy a 3.. Difference is Boston would normally lose those games. Not anymore!!

well done team!!
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..
