The crazy thing is that even during his rookie year, you'd think he's having a bad game and he'd still have like 20 points or a lot of rebs and assists. The raw talent is there.
You can see flashes of talent.
There are just times where you see everyone on the floor defer to him and he makes questionable decisions driving to the basket. I get that he’s able to create offense downhill but sometimes, like the second to last play, hes just forcing it unnecessarily.
These are situations where you’d wish he wasn’t the one making these split second decisions and you had a guy to run an offense for him. Hopefully it’s solved. Luckily Franz pulled this one out for us.
Don’t get me wrong. He’s a talented guy. He won Rookie of the Year and he’s arguably one of our core guys and option #1 or 2. But he’s barely 21 and still young/ learning how to close out games.
Disclaimer : I’m not “worried” about Paolo. I just think there should be other action on plays down the stretch than him barreling into 3 shirts while everyone stands around and watches him.

Paolo is going to be fine. Remember the 1st Quarter? He was the center point of offense with first couple 3s created. But again, he had his moment and there are a lot also he has to adjust plus learn. But I believe he will be fine and you can see from Chicago's gameplan which is to stop him with doubles early. They put Caruso on him who has the quickness to guard him and I think that frustrated him in the 3rd and 4th Quarter. Growing experience for him!

djguevara is def in troll mode, dude has been making outlandish takes nonstop the last few games. He is making pepe looki mild in comparison. Maybe he is trying to be his protege, with the silly takes.
Paolo dropped 20PPG as a rookie and has hit 2 game winners in 12 games, but he can't score by himself guys!

Paolo needs an off season where he’s working on his game. Not being Kerr’s Olympic version of Draymond Green. He’ll be fine.

Yeah I mean it's certainly not a complete no brainer.
But...
I don't think LaVine kills you defensively. The Bulls last season were 5th in DRTG and LaVine played 36 MPG in 77 games. It's hard to completely hide a guy who plays THAT much and with Black/Suggs/Isaac/Carter/Franz all here, he'd have the ability to take easier matchups and just focus on scoring.
I'm also optimistic that LaVine (and every other Bulls player outside of Caruso) would probably benefit significantly just from getting the heck out of there. That team is in a malaise right now and a lot of those guys are desperate for it to lift.

But man, why does the same thing continue to happen in second half’s, it’s like we forget to play. We know that we need shooters and spacing to maximize Franz and Paolo, but can we please get coach a good offensive assistant or something. Don’t get me wrong, I love what Mosley has done with these young men and the energy they bring but damn, sometimes you wish for a little more. Also, he should have let JI in, moment he came out that lead went bye bye. Anyways, I enjoy all your guys opinions and insight through the years, glad to be on here now.

LaVine's contract is ridiculous plus down the road we have to, probably, max extend Franz and Paolo. How we gonna find enough cap space and that is my question. Plus LaVine is a ball dominate guy and so are Franz and Paolo. If we gonna give up one of Franz and Paolo to get a star like that? I just do not think so

What to be scared of, they gave up 123 ppg. And we only gave up 105 ppg. We are Top 3 in Defensive Rating. Good test to our defense Sunday. But I know, Pacers are on fire and they have the NO.1 Offensive rating in the league.
Plus Haliburton is probably playing like the best PG in the league right now. Good test, Sunday! It is going to be REAL tough for us to pull a W. But hey, I am a believer!

Well you can go over the cap to resign your own players.
Franz's max extension wouldn't kick in until the 25-26 season. Paolo's not until the 26-27 season.
So you'd only be paying all three guys for one season (26-27) and that's assuming LaVine doesn't opt out. If he does, then you're paying all three guys for 0 seasons.
