If Bud were still coach, we'd have a bunch of no talent veterans filling the bench. Horst can finally do his job.

Idk about that. The year we won the title we entered the season with a 14 man roster and 2 of the spots were taken by rookies Jordan Nwora & Sam Merrill. Merrill actually got minutes in the opening night game that year against Boston

We have twice as many youngsters now.

Of all the things to rip on the NBA about, them putting in some effort to try to make boring ass November games exciting isn’t one of them imo.

You could still have the tournament without those Tournament courts. The tournament is awesome, not a huge fan of those gaudy courts though.

Why are the tournament courts unacceptable to play on? More slippery due to all the extra paint?

The Bud hates young guys crowd is so delusional. Oh no! He didn't play DJ Wilson, Jordan Nwora, Sam Merrill, and Sandro Mamukaleshvili! Can you believe all of the sheer talent he missed out on! (out of the league, not playing, not playing, not playing)

If the tournament added a single thing that mattered to the teams it could be worth caring about.

First place team gets the #15 pick, runner up gets the #31.

Or the 1st place teams gets an extra MLE.

Whatever.

As it stands I could not possibly care less that some guys are playing for a little bump in pay. The tournament adds nothing for fans.

Most players wouldn't be motivated to earn an extra draft pick for a team that might trade them in February or in the off-season.

You'd have exceptions with guys like Giannis who are locked in and not going anywhere, he would be motivated by that. But most players wouldn't really care if their current team earns an extra draft pick.

This tournament will be forgotten by the trading deadline.

I don't even agree then. Giannis wasn't sitting at home watching the draft like, "Hell yeah, we got DJ **** Wilson at 17!" The guys that matter aren't focused on a rookie coming in.

skones, you can trade draft picks. for helpful players. it happens all the time.

The Bucks have dick for tradeable assets right now. Imagine how hard Giannis, Dame, Khris and Brook go if they go into the trade deadline with the #15 (or whatever) in tow. Or a salary slot that gets them a valuable backup?

RS. You're out of context.

I don't think players are actively thinking, oh, we need to make a trade and get this guy out of here for this. They believe they can do it with their guys, and that goes twice for guys like Giannis and Dame.

Giannis fired his coach. You're out of your head if you think guys like him and Dame aren't acting like GMs.

Nah, I'm not out of my head here. These dudes dont pore over their analytics and cook up fantasy trades in their free time.

what does getting your coach fired have to do with players caring about getting rookies on their team? Giannis may care about it, but some of these guys would have to compete with a potential 15th overall pick. they dont want that. fans would care more, for sure. players, it's probably hit or miss.

What analytics are required for, "You didn't have the #15 pick, but now you do." Or another MLE?
