This team is pretty mid

We look way worse than last year post deadline

Need Vando back to figure out how much he can help and to see if this is an energy issue or just a team issue

Offense is way too damn stagnant and iso heavy and we don't have the guys for that really to win it all

If this is how we are going to play even when healthy and this is our level, then we need a major shakeup move

Why was Reaves taken out of the starting lineup and not Prince? Another night with 25+ minutes and 1 rebound. He's awful. Not physically imposing enough to guard wings, not agile enough to chase guards around screens. Rui and Wood need to absorb his minutes pronto

In theory he gives you 3 point shooting, but in reality he hasn't given us that

He is a decent connector and passer for a wing in his role, but the 3 point shooting has been very dissapointing

He isn't a bad team defender, but a bit too slow to chase guys

I am fine with Reaves off the bench actually since I don't love the Dlo and Rui backcourt defensively and we can use a boost off the bench

I think we should be starting Vando when he is back over Reddish

Dlo, Prince, Vando, Bron, AD

I would be cool moving Prince if a deal came up

Taurean Prince is like the wrong jigsaw puzzle piece being cast as a connector. His rebounding has been god awful to start the season. Rui is functionally better at every facet, Cam brings better defense and is decently athletic but has some functional athleticism gaps that hold his offense back, and Vando is a vastly better defender and rebounder.

I’d much rather have gone in on Jevon Carter for example..

Cam has been a heck of a defensive playmaker. Man would I love to be wrong

DLo has negative bball IQ and should never be closing games for this team.

What does this mean?

What is he supposed to be?

Feels like his role is a 3 and d guy, moreso team D. And being a decent connector in terms of making the extra pass, putting the ball on the floor a bit, and making the shot

I am cool starting Dlo and having Reaves off the bench and then closing with Reaves and Dlo to the bench

The question is who are the other 2 guys?

Currently its a mix of Wood, Rui, Prince, and Reddish. And when Vando and Vincent are back those are 2 more options

I am pleasantly surprised by Reddish, his overall defense has been nice and I like the energy

I just dont want to be relying on him as an actual rotation guy

Prince would be great if he was better defending on ball and shot like he did every other year of his career lol

Rui is great, but I like him off the bench, he misses some passes and on defense he’ll die off ball a bit if he’s chasing a guy but feels like he does a good job

Idc if this is grasping at straws or not, but i don't recall being this annoyed during a 12 point win.

Reaves is looking rough as the primary ball-handler off the bench. Missing reads and really struggling with ball-pressure. This isn't the right role for him.

His team defense hasn't been anything great, shooting i don't hate the process but his shot hasn't been there to start the season

Random note, and yes I know its a small sample so size

Malik Beasley has been making 2.5 3s a game like last year, but on 46.7% from 3 this season vs 35.3% last year...

Lonnie Walker at basically 44% from 3 this season vs 36.5% last year and on more volume....

Guys really just can't shoot well here

He had a couple steals tonight and wasn't bad imo...the shot is pissing me off though

When the lights are brightest, you need mental fortitude. That’s the biggest reason for the drop-offs in my opinion, guys who can’t handle the pressures of playing for LAL. I don’t know how to prove it, but I really do think there’s legitimacy to this.

Probably true, but also feel like the shooting "coaches" here are not good

The question is how do you know which guys are mentally tough and ready?

I didn't think Rui would be

Vincent seems like he should be and was horrible shooting wise to start, but a small sample

I was one of the few who had faith in Reddish but now I hope others can give him props.

In the 6 times he's been a starter so far he's had:
30mpg, 12ppg, 3.3rpg, 2.3spg, 0.5topg
61.5% TS, 44.4% from 3

Plus he's been playing tough defense.
