No it wasn't. 10.9 assists per game at home, 10.1 assists per game on the road. Take out the .8 assists per game over 751 home games and his assist record goes down by 601, but most teams perform better at home so I don't see a reason to believe that less than an assist per game difference is a big deal.

I'm impressed that a thread that is over 10 years old still contains relevant discussion. It's interesting that the views of the 'current state of play' in the original thread debate (from 2012) believing that it's never been as bad as it is now, still can make the same argument today (i.e., the issue has gotten progressively worse).
