what's up with this injury? they make it seem like it's not serious but....how many games he's missed? is there reason for real concern?

Patella tendonitis (also called "jumper's knee") is to basketball players what a wrist injury is to a baseball player.

Not good and if you come back too soon they don't heal.

Listener had a question for this podcast. What kind of guard should the Magic be looking to put next to Franz and Paolo? This national podcaster actually got the answer right.

Question starts at 32:54

averaging 29.5 on 49% FG, 42% 3FG with 5 assists to .8 TO thru four games :o

Osceola came back from 27 down in the fourth quarter last night, hell of a game to watch. Trev Queen needs to stop chucking and attack the paint more though, dude is shooting 14% from three on 7att/game.

Tough three games upcoming. I'll be at the Nuggets game! We are 2-0 in games I've attended

Eh, I honestly think the knee injury is bs. Based on the few games before this "knee" injury you could clearly see his shoulder was not right. A common misconception here is thinking that his shoulder is healed. That is not correct, he has learned to live with it by getting treatment on the shoulder and relearning how to use his shoulder to prevent it from acting up again, but the reality is it will come and go, he will be fine and then there will be periods where it is not. This is just my theory and if he comes back with no hitch on his shot again I will truly believe that is what happened, very curious to see his shot once he comes back.

no reason to doubt it's his knee...it's not like he was shooting last year, so I don't blame much on his shoulder - unless it's never gotten better

Respectfully, I don't agree with him.

He's talking about waiting two years to see what Suggs/Black/Fultz (lol) become because the Magic's competitive window isn't open, which on paper sounds fine and isn't inaccurate, but it's just not looking at the whole picture.

The Magic have like 75M in expiring contracts and two years from now Franz will be on a max, Suggs will be on a much bigger contract and Paolo will be one year away from a max.

The clean cap sheet they current possess is finite. Are they going to eat up those dollars just kicking the can down the road by extending Fultz and Gary and Ingles and Moritz and Isaac on short term deals or what?

All I am saying is I do not believe in coincidences. Last year he was showing signs of his old fluid motion. All of a sudden this year starts, and the hitch in his shot starts to come back, is getting worse each game, and out of nowhere, there is a "knee" injury.

But you're right knee injury could be true, just a theory I have and I will confirm or not depending on how his shot looks after returning. If there is no hitch, I call bs on the knee injury and he took the time to rest and get his shoulder right again. That is what I believe.

Same people were saying that OKC were 3 yrs away

Let's see how well we r doing till the trade deadline, then we can look at trades, no point doing any moves before that

Replace Fultz with Black and I'm down with this narrative.

As to why say it is his knee and not his shoulder? Uneeded attention, to avoid all the questions about his TOS again. No need to open than can of worms for no reason. Like I said, it is just a theory, the timing of the knee injury was just ideal as his form was getting worse by the game.

Too proud of the team! All season, I said it, we are trying to find our identity with this young team. And Coach Mosley has done a terrific job by stressing defense. We go ahead and play against the NO.1 Offensive team in the league so far tomorrow. A good test to our defense.

Number 1 defense vs number 1 offense, they say great offense always beats great defense.... We're going to see if that's really the case
