My take? Griffins offense is better than Bud's offense.

It's not Griffin's offense, though. There's no way.

So who then installed this offense? This definitely isn't the offense Bud ran.

I understand you don't like Griff, and that has its warrants, but you got to give credit where credit is do. Bud's team would have had 20 turnovers last night.

Could be Prunty's offense, but he is on the staff and the growth is noticeable. Dame being a prime distributor is really nice. Guys are actually standing in the correct places to space the floor. Someone is teaching them because they looked like full dysfunction not even 2 weeks ago.

We have no way of knowing but my feeling is Dame/GA had some input on finally having guys in the corners.

I’m basing this on Brook getting them back to playing drop when he is out there and Dame getting back to playing the entire first quarter per his own request.

Also, someone asked why the Bucks challenged last night and it was because the Bucks assistant in charge of challenges thought the Mavs played flopped on the foul (she was right, he did) but the refs refused to call it a flip for some reason.

It should have been a tech and a free throw for the Bucks.

Now I would question using your challenge for a single point, but it was later in the game and if you win you get another challenge later anyways.

13.7 TO/100 possessions this season.

14.3 last year. 13.3 in 21-22. 13.4 in 20-21.

So yeah, they were about the exact same under Bud, but you be you.

Lol, you think full season stats, rather than the trend we're heading towards, it's what's most relevant here? Griffin had to install all new systems with a remade roster. Of course we committed turnovers in the early games. Giannis alone had more turnovers in game one than the whole team had last night.

We are looking pretty good at the moment. Just need to shore up the defense, which I believe will happen before the playoffs start. Giannis is playing the best ball of his career, Dame is fantastic and still hasn't unlocked his full potential, and Khris is only playing 20 min a game, every other game.

I am pretty confident that no matter our record or standing in the conference, if we enter the playoffs healthy, we have a good shot of winning it all. That's the power that Dame brings to this team.

Interesting. Is Sydney in charge of the replay every night, or do those responsibilities rotate?

Appears every night. She always has the iPad and AG has started looking to her before deciding on whether to challenge.

Stotts then Prunty. Or Dame. Griff doesn't know what constitutes good offense.

You don't honestly know anything about Griffin or his staff. Me neither, we're both just making inferences based on the limited information we're given.

I also noticed that Giannis was setting proper screens and rolling nicely in P&Rs with Dame. That wasn’t the case two weeks ago. That’s very encouraging.

If I had to guess flow of O it's Dame & Giannis working with Prunty

Agree, we're looking better, and I expect to look significantly better now that we're past this ridiculous part of the schedule. Unreal that we've played 3 back to backs in our first 13 games, and are about to play 3 games in 4 days for the 3rd time. We've looked lethargic at times, and for good reason.

You're just making stuff up to agree with the narrative in your head, when they magically had sub-10 turnover games the last 5 years, was the offense finally coming around? Did Giannis finally decide to stop leading the league in turnovers?

If you want to say that going from Jrue to Dame might make a difference on turnovers that I might agree with, but it has nothing to do with Bud or Griffin.

To be fair, this happens constantly on this board. In fact, it occurs in several posts by different posters on the same page.

Wouldn’t it be safe to assume a large portion of decreased turnovers could be attributed to going from having zero point guards last season to two point guards this season?

Maybe I’m crazy.

Jrue’s turnover percentage is materially higher than Dame’s. And Dame has greater usage percentage generally.

Jrue was extremely sloppy with the ball in many instances.
