At the very least he's an elite role player 3/4th option

I'm well aware of his stats, I play fantasy basketball

I see the numbers as a result of the unimpressive supporting cast outside of Shai and Holmgren

That's absolute nonsense. They have a ton of good players outside of Shai and chet including JDub. But others
Iike Dort, Joe, Wallace have been big for them at times and that's with Giddey really struggling with this shot so far this season.

They got JDub playing as an undersized 4 in their positionless lineups but dude can score freal and he's only 22. He's the exact sort of young scorer we'd ideally love to pair with Barnes.

OKC has sooo much young talent, this team is gonna be scary real soon. Jalen Williams has elite shot making potential, I see why he's hyped up.

I hope we never find out that the Kings were willing to do a Pascal for Hali trade

I still feel like their is deal somewhere between Toronto and OKC for Siakam. They have the picks. They have the young talent. They have the need for a 4 with some experience to compliment this cast of young talent.

I would love a deal around Giddey for Siakam with salary/picks to make it work.

Even I don't think that can top Daryl Morey refusing to trade Ben Simmons for Haliburton.

Morey was tunnel visioned into getting Harden

Presti is such a good gm bruh it’s **** crazy. The Harden trade has been such a big stain on his legacy but this rebuild has truly been a redemption story. This team can definitely win a championship within the next 5 years. He’s quite literally back in the same position he was with KD Westbrook and Harden. I’m thinking this time he doesn’t make the same mistake.

I don’t see them doing it for Giddey. He’s very much apart of their core. The main get I think would be Cason and the picks, which I would still be happy with. Cason is a future star guard imo

Don’t like Giddey and Barnes. I think Siakam for Jalen Williams (+Bertans/Micic) makes sense.

No way are they trading Jalen for Siakam. That would just be silly as they are not ready to actually contend this year. Trading for Siakam also messes up their contract timeline and he is a FA. Jalen is on rookie scale and by the time he is eligible for 25% max he will likely be as good as Siakam has ever been.

Let’s calm down. While Presti’s tank to competitor timeline has been impressive, everyone always gets hyped up over young teams. Remember the 76ers with Embiid and Simmons were supposed to rule the East? The young Grizzlies, the Pelicans after landing Zion… it goes on and on. Getting the pieces is one thing, but a championship is on a whole nother level.

what does this even mean? OKC pieces are better than all those teams and they have way more assets to improve. Winning is tough as you need luck but they are better equipped to win than the Grizzlies/Pelicans lol.

Edit; SGA is a top 10 player and Chet might be a top 15 player by year 3. They have cap flexibility. This is all while guys like Giannis/Joker will be in their 30's.

OKC had the following incoming picks:
24- first from Houston, Clippers and Utah
25- first from Miami and Philadelphia
27- first from Denver
29- first from Denver

That’s 7 picks outright over the next 6 years and I haven’t even counted pick swaps, second round picks and their own picks. Trading Siakim could jumpstart a retool for us but I suspect that Presti is saving up all his assets for a big name like Embiid or Doncic.

We can add a first rounder with Siakam and they probably still wouldn't do it lol.

I think OKC has higher ambitions than trading for an expiring 30 year old

They are not trading Williams for Siakam, come on.

I don't even think they make a big splash unless a big star asks out. If anyone is the best positioned to move their chips all in on a big name, it's them. Failing that, they'll sit back and let the season play out. Most ascending teams suffer from a few playoff heartbreaks first, and they are not even at that point yet.

OKC is 9-4 and loaded with talent. They better make some noise this season, it’s literally about time. Chet is way better then expected in his first year, that’s helping a lot.

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

They're young, getting to the 2nd round would be considered a huge success this season. Expectations will be raised next season, not now.

I meant just getting to the playoffs. No expectations to win a round they just need to get there finally
