Re: Game 13: Phoenix Suns (6-6) @ Utah Jazz (4-8)
A theme for the season, this is some of the LAZIEST defense imagineable. 2nd play of the game Gordon did not even move a single step on the defensive end. Then on offense had his shot blocked and was not even past half court when Utah scored on the other end (the only of the 10 players that far back).
KD dares Markannen to shoot an open 3, which luckily misses and then Nurkic dares Collins to shoot a 3 off the rebound.
The effort level from this team needs to be better. We go through the motions and aren't dialed in way too often. As a fan, it is certainly not too much to ask that our guys try on both ends

Re: Game 13: Phoenix Suns (6-6) @ Utah Jazz (4-8)
It would be nice to get a solid win. Hopefully we don't have to have crazy good games by BOTH KD and Book again just to pull out a 3 pt victory against the Jazz, who are a bottom tier west team.
Obviously I would love crazy good games by both of them but when that happens, it would be nice if we win comfortably and don't require it to beat below avg teams.

OK Suns, I'm depressed as we just elected a lunatic to be our president. Give me a win today, at least.

I'm glad LIttle is in. He CAN BE a 2 way player. That makes him better than Goodwin and others come playoff time if he can improve to stick in the rotation

Yeah, we are definitely going to need to play much better defense if we hope to win a series in the playoffs. If not we will need our stars to really go off in every game as well as shoot very well from 3, do well on the boards and limit turnovers.

Wow love the hustle and energy so far. At least on offense.

I'm trying to cook dinner, watch the game, and be active on the forum at the same time. It's taken some effort, no lie.

Hate the possessions where we just give it to KD and watch him get double teamed. Keep the ball moving.

Nurkic chucks it past half court for no reason. Then we allow a walk up 3 with all 5 players back on defense. Defensively we are still not dialed in.
Okogie throws it directly to a Jazz player
I'm glad we're scoring at an elite level but we desperately need some offensive variety and actual sets run and we are inexcusable on D

The lack of ball movement and motion in general which became the norm with Paul running the point is glaringly apparent. Far too much standing around and being a fan. That constant motion is what always makes a team like GS dangerous... and we no longer seem to have it. No actual PG's on the roster isn't helping us, but I'm hopeful they manage to get it together on that end or make a roster move to strengthen us up.

Re: Game 13: Phoenix Suns (6-6) @ Utah Jazz (4-8)
We've seen brief flashes of great defense from this team. Just need to get them more on the same page with the effort required.
Not a great end to the 1st quarter, felt like we were close to demoralizing the Jazz and now it's all even to start the 2nd.

This is just ridiculous. Markkanen just all alone down the middle for a dunk. Where is the defense?

Nassirs earned a place in the rotation, but I rather he take Okogies minutes instead of Yutas.

He was playing really well and somehow got like 3 minutes only. Should have stayed out there. I would lower Goodwin and Gordon's minutes for Nassir.
Yuta is not a good defender but he at least tries on that end.

Bates Diop should be starting still. He is impactful on defense and can make open jumpers and occassionally drive. That is better balance and more impact than what our other guys offer.

Gordon allows a wide open 1 pass 3. He is getting picked on defensively. They are running sets directly for who he is guarding. That quick hitter was also really predictable. If he was paying attention he would've been on the top side of it

6:35 left in the half is the first time I saw Eric Gordon defend tonight. He actually moved decently well and with some intention.
