I'll say this about Mikal Bridges. Nets are going no where and have no potential to get a #1 player due in large you Ben. Due to not having their own picks, they have no incentive to tank, but in terms of player comparison Mikal at 27 is about equivalent to where Tobi was when he got here. To be able to get 3-4 picks for him is a blessing and it's in large due to his value contract and it becomes less of a value every year he is wasted there. They may not be a playoff team and were fooled last year because Durant made them a playoff team.

They don't need to tank, but they should maximize their assets and this may be maximum value he'll get. He should get3 picks and some seconds. Then they can pump up Johnson and dinwiddie

There's been lots of smoke with Mitchell. He's already said he won't sign an extension with Cleveland.

No, he said he didn't want to sign an extension this season. And it makes economic sense for him, signing right now would mean he can get at best a 3 year extension, by waiting he can add one year to the deal, he's signed until 2026 but has a contract option for the last year.

ProcessDoctor wrote: Ingram said he'll talk extension with NOP next summer. If they're still a middling .500 team, why would they want to give him that money? Especially if a team is willing to offer a fair package for him.

Because he's a core piece and trading him means reorganizing everything around Zion who is less reliable right now? They have like 3 or 4 young core pieces they can move before touching Zion or Ingram, plus movable contracts.

I'll still take my chances with those guys + the field over trading multiple picks for Alex Caruso.

The Magic are gonna be so good...

Their defense right now is crazy. They need to make some moves for spacers and they're likely set for years

Isaiah Joe is one of Morey's biggest blunders.

Jordan Poole already being on the market is hysterical to me. I don’t think he’s been humbled enough to be considered for us right now.

It really is something of a miracle Maxey flourished under Glenn Rivers, who tends to snuff out youth on the vine.

He had no other option because we didn't have another primary ball handler once Ben asked for a trade.

I'm convinced that if we solve the Ben situation before that season starts, Maxey barely plays 10 minutes a game. Being generous too

Let's say Cade Cunningham was a UFA today and you're a team with cap space. What's the most you'd offer him? He wants a 4 year deal.

I'd still be willing to max him, what's that for a second contract guy now, starting at 39M or something?

Cade still has a ton of potential, and he and Maxey have meshing skill sets.

Fair enough. I wouldn't be surprised if he was considered a negative asset with a max contract in a couple of years though.

That's a possibility, the Pistons are a dumpster fire currently.

He knew that Joe was never gonna get playing time under Rivers so he did the best thing for the kid.

Everyday I think what could have been. Smoking Joe would look great right now instead Korkmaz still rides the pine.

i will never defend Doc

BUT when he played Joe didn't perform.....now this is probably due to Doc's quick hook but still.

I think Cade is being sabotaged by his team because they have zero shooting without Bogdan. It took Monty a dozen games to figure out that Sasser & Ivery should play over Killian Hayes.

I think he looks significantly better if you put him on even a normal bad team, like the Spurs or Blazers.

Bit of hot take, but I think the Celtics are better without Jaylen Brown. That contract is going to make Tobias' current one look like a bargain in a couple years
