The O-Line got abused this game. Of course Ron and JDR should be gone today but probably survive this year.

I don't see the point in keeping them. All their going to try and do is win at all costs, which means they cost the team a few spots in the draft. Might as well let Bienemy take over and let him get some head coaching experience on his resume for his next job, whether it be Washington or not.

Yeah. Probably best to think long term instead of salvaging Bienemy. It's a shame, because he might yet turn out to be a really good head coach somewhere. I love his intensity and some of the things he does with the passing game are pretty brilliant. But, he doesn't seem to understand situational and complimentary football. He also seems to want to jam a square peg in a round hole. Given the personnel on the team and given how good the team was last year when they went to a ball control offense, it would have been nice to see us build on that, albeit with a stronger-armed QB than last year.
Don't get me wrong. JDR is terrible -- Giants players said as much yesterday when they talked about our lack of adjustments -- but I think some of the defense's problems also have to do with amount of time on the field which can be mitigated by a ball control offense.

The Commanders have won more games than the Wizards, but the Wizards are actually more watchable most of the time, today was disgraceful.

If Ron and JDR have jobs come Monday I'm done for the year.
Unless they admit this is a tank deal .

Washington has lost to the lowly Bears, and to the Giants twice, not sure what you expected from this team going up against a legit Superbowl contender.
The Commanders made it pretty clear they threw in the towel when they dealt Sweat and Young.
I don't really see the point of firing either at this point, that ship sailed in the offseason.

On every 3rd or 4th and 1, not calling shotgun for starters

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Ron taking over the D is rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic. At this point, he's mailed it in so I don't see him doing the hard work that it takes be a coordinator. He's a highly paid motivational speaker, not an X's and O's guy.

Ron Riviera exposing how big of a clown he really is.
Now you‘re firing DelRio? NOW???
Lol, I was flamed for suggesting that he was an uninspiring retread that hadn’t done jack with the Panthers when he was hired.

I think the owners know we have an underachievong team with a good young QB and weapons. So they are fine firing people but they don't wanna make too many changes Incase the team starts winning .draft position.queridiculo wrote:Ron Riviera exposing how big of a clown he really is.

Doesn't sit well with me that Payne and Allen are underperforming and we were hell bent on getting Young and Sweat out the door.

I don't think Payne and Allen had a lot of trade value. Also, young and sweat were reportedly angling for a lot and I mean a lot of money way more than they should be paid.Dark Faze wrote:Doesn't sit well with me that Payne and Allen are underperforming and we were hell bent on getting Young and Sweat out the door.

Re: The Washington Commanders Thread
We really need to keep losing. This could be a game changer draft with our extra picks and picking at the beginning of each round.
I just did a draft simulator and, with one minor trade, picked up the following haul:
Joe Alt
Troy Fautanu
Ja'Tavion Saunders
T'Vondre Sweat
Tommy Eichenberg
Zak Zinter
Blake Corum
Sam Hartman
Tarheeb Still
Trkeweze Bridges
That's 2-3 starters on the OL.
A potential pro bow caliber TE
A starting inside linebacker
A house wrecking inside DL to rotate with Allen and Payne
A back up QB
A RB/Special teams guy
Two CB/Special teams guys
That draft could be the equivalent of the May, Grimm, Jacoby (UDFA) draft that changed the direction of our franchise back in the day

Also if you get a top 5 you might be able to trade back for 2-3 more extra picks.long suffrin' boulez fan wrote:We really need to keep losing. This could be a game changer draft with our extra picks and picking at the beginning of each round.
