It's an absolute disgrace that the NBA's logo still has Jerry West in it instead of Maxey, who helped pioneer the game.

Maxey is the greatest combination of shooting and speed we've ever seen from a player with dreads that played at Kentucky with the middle name Kendrid. #goat.

Funny thread but name a handful of guys faster than him that shoot as well or are as fast and shoot better. Technically...

Is this fatal guy a 76ers fan or something? I’m noticing that call out but I can’t tell if he’s being serious or not.

I am all for making fun of the OP's fanboyism usually, but he has a point here, Maxey is a top contender for this accolade.

It’s Jordan

But for a range shooter aka 3ball only, possibly he is so fkn quick and always has the double threat if a player sags of just pulling up. Get too close he’ll zoom past you.

He has basically been shooting early career Ray Allen percentages at 43% from for 3 straight seasons at this point. All the fast point guards like John Wall, Russel Westbrook, Derrick Rose and Ja Morant have not been good shooters from 3. De'Aaron Fox has one good 3pt shooting season in his first 6 seasons, before shooting really well this season. Maxey is ranked 16 in career 3pt percentage right now and I dont see a single player in the top 50 career shooting list that I would consider really fast. This question is valid, someone offer up an alternative player.

I think Maxey is special for this synergy, sure. I'd say the people that come to mind for speed and shooting are: Kemba Walker, Steph Curry, Donovan Mitchell, Jerry West, Mark Price, Desmond Bane.

I think Mitchell could have a claim to this title. He has shot a lot of volume of 3's at a high perecentage and objectively if you look at the nba combine stats he has one of the fastest 3/4 court sprints of all legit NBA players at 3.01. Very few legit players have ran faster than that. Nate Robinson/ Sonny Weems are best who actually played in NBA at 2.96.
