This team needs more size... an upgrade at SF or PF(two way Players, not Just D) is necessary...A backup big would be great, but if they get another PF,with size and some O and D,they'd be better...only the guards are capable creating their shot, but if you Play 3 at the time you give up rebounds and D...Grant is good, but he lacks the size and post game...when you have that many one dimesional Players as Mavs it gets hard when the shots aren't falling and Luka and Kai have Just solid, not great games

I think we all know this already, but we haven’t beat any good teams this year. Was really hoping we would win one against MIL or SAC.
Our best win has been against a young Orlando Magic, who were missing Carter.

Front office did what they can do with the limited assets and cap space. We simply need a better Lively (+5 years experience) and a better Derrick Jones Jr and the list goes on for bench players like Powell and some others.
It is what it is. Kyrie trade just made this team's weakness even worse. Last 7 years, and 7 years of misery for Kyrie teams. He doesn't worth it. Kyrie doesn't worth the headache, doesn't worth the trade assets, or max salary.
There is no good fit for Kyrie as being #1 or #2 for any NBA team.
Lebron/AD >> Lebron/Kyrie.
Murray/Jokic >> Kyrie/Jokic
Fox/Sabonis >> Kyrie/Sabonis
Booker/KD >> Kyrie/KD
I can list many more teams here.
and even Luka/Brunson >> Luka/Kyrie, considering the way Brunson fits with Luka and not taking a full max, not costing too many picks.
The only option is somehow kicking Kyrie's ass out. Kyrie for AD, Kyrie for Paul George. I wish one of those would be possible...

2 games against PO teams and our "good backup C" posted 36minutes 3 points 4 rebounds 2 assists.
That's the basketball knowledge of some posters here.
Powell is not good at basketball and Beibau has to live with it. I'm sorry.
Btw Josh played well tonight finally.

Shut up man, you are like a broken disk.
Kyrie is playing well, he is not a problem for this team.
Your personal battle has been a pain in the ass.
We need upgrades on the supporting cast and on the bench. Watch games instead boxscore or highlights.
You looks like stupid like Beibau or some other posters. Please. Stop.

You can say it's very minor contact on the arm, but it's still contact, and McGee was clobbering Luka from the other side.

Because it was called on Duarte so apparently refs can't change the call to McGee. That's how Mark explained it during the broadcast
They also missed two crucial calls which led Kings to that massive run afterwards. Kyrie going to the rim and got literally knocked down to the floor and next play on the other end Sabonis just pushing Exum away who also fell to the ground.

But Duarte made contact, even if the contact was marginal, it's enough to keep the call, there is no doubt Luka was denied the drive, use the technicality to do justice...

Well i kinda agree with refs after watching the replay. Duarte slapped the ball, he made really minimal contact on Doncic, so in my opinion they did good when they overturned the call. But McGee on the other hand did exactly what Kyrie did to Dame the other game which made Dame shoot 3 fts, so foul should have really been called on McGee.

Yeah,Kyrie is definetely not the problem...he's been amazing since he's been here...the FO did ok,but they also made some mistakes...Jalen Mcdaniels would have been a better offseason signing than Curry, because of his size and all the guards the Mavs have...a trade for Capella,Ayton who would both be better with Luka and Kyrie would also help out a lot..The problem is too many guards and not enough big men...Maxi's been injured and bad the last two years,Powell is who he is (a solid roller, bad defender and rebounder) ,Holmes and Morris don't play(unless it's garbage time)...playing small Will get you destroyed in the paint and the rebounding battle

Mavs need more size they need to stop playing those small guard lineups, luka seemed like their best rebounder out there. Grant is great but he undersized and can't grab boards.
Kyrie been great but he needs to play more with luka especially when teams double luka... bc kyrie actually can play off luka unlike other payers.

Exum has proven to be a good addition but he often plays with Kyrie. Luka is mostly alone with no 2ndary shot creator.
Even when you check most played NON Kyrie lineups. It's mostly Luka alone.
L. Dončić | J. Green | D. Jones | D. Lively | G. Williams
L. Dončić | J. Green | T. Hardaway | D. Lively | G. Williams
So those are most and 2nd most minutes played lineups without Kyrie. Interesting enough, all these lineups are in huge point positives and their rebound % is at +15% without Kyrie.
Problem occurs when you start looking at lineups with Dwight Powell, those are the biggest negatives. So all in all, like we've all been saying, 2ndary center is BADLY needed. It is a sample size of only 14 games but eye test kinda proves what stats also say right now.
Then there is problem with effort. Some nights Mavs rebound and play defense well and there are nights where you just scratch your head and think if this is the same team as we saw 2 days ago. They can play so incredibly bi-polar.

Guess what? You do not get that if you spend your trade assets and salary cap for Kyrie who sucked for last 7-years.

This says investing your trade assets and MAX salary cap space into frontcourt would do wonders for this.
I have a dream where D. Lively is our backup center, not the best one!

Kyrie with his contract and what he cost for trade is the problem.
This is f'in NBA. There are 30 teams. You have limited assets. You have limited cap space. If you invest most of it to Kyrie he should perform like prime Lillard or Curry to justify his defensive woes.
Wrong 2nd investment alongside Luka. Go get an all-star caliber SF, PF, C. They would fit better with Luka.

Name 1 Wing/C all star that you can have for DFS+Dinwiddie and '29 FRP. I'm waiting.
The most pathetic thing about your criticism is that Irving is probably playing the best basketball of his career
You are free to throw **** on Irving, i don't care... just wait until you play a few games badly otherwise you'll just make the whole forum laugh
