And yet we still had a chance to close the series out in Milwaukee anyway being up 3-2 but the team shot 24% from three and 40% overall.

Yup. Not having Middleton was a bigger factor. Last year we had home court, Giannis gets hurt, and we get bounced . Having all your guys available > seeding.

But we had a chance to win it in 6 at home. I don’t get this rationale. I’ve heard Zach Lowe say the same thing.

It’s not like we only won our games at home, and could only manage to tie the series up, before losing on the road in 7 - we won two games on the road, and were up 3-2 heading home.

Is Midds available for the Celtics series if he doesn’t slip on the floor in Chicago?

If Bud hadn't tanked the 2 seed, Midds wouldn't have been in Chicago

Is crowder only out 7 weeks now? Should we do a countdown?

Nah the team absolutely let Freak down in Game 6 when he brought a 44/20 and Jrue was abysmal once again. Although I think Pat was decent in that game off the top of my head. Literally just needed even an average-ish game from the team and they send Boston packing. Even with Tatum having his best game ever.

Nice big chunk in here about the Bucks after the Lavine talk. I really enjoy Nekias Duncan and Steve Jones Jr.
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

Even before the final seedings for the PO 80% of this board wanted no part of the nets( even though the Cs swept them).I said that back in 22 after tbe series lost to boston that would of could of should of with midds getting hurt vs the bulls because the bucks just handed the 2 seed back to the celts after that give every starting player a night off agsinst cleveland. They wanted no part of the nets.Who knows if midds gets hurt

Yeah, my fault. Thought it was game three when he went down. So yeah, let’s say it was Karma.

Which is hilarious because the year prior they blasted the Heat at the end of the season knowing it meant they would have to play them and that DGAF attitude carried over to the first round destruction of Miami.

I mean, they had a right to be scared of the Nets but that was based solely on Bud’s refusal to double anyone no matter how much of a heater they are on. Celtics showed you just send bodies at KD, he’ll take bad contested shots and rarely make the right pass.

Bud would 100% tank a knockout round game to avoid having to play 83 games. He already tanked the 82nd game almost every season.

Virtually every playoff team "tanks" the last game of the season if it has no bearing on seeding. It would be dumb not to do so. Celtics last year sat Brown, Tatum, Smart, Horford. The champs sat Jokic and other starters. Sixers sat their guys, etc.

It didn't matter if a seed was on the line with Bud since he tanked and gave the 2 seed to the Celtics two seasons ago because he thought his team needed 8 days of rest before the playoffs instead of 6 (lingering sour grapes).

Think he tanked also to avoid a nets team that boston swept in 4 so we could play the bulls
