For the sake of board sanity this better be a win. Otherwise the season is over after 15 games.

Let's disperse the portable oxygen tanks/masks for everyone when Jrue nails three triples in the first quarter.

The game doesn’t matter but I want the bucks to win so bad. These are the type of regular season games that make the long grind worth it. Both teams are familiar with what’s going on so I expect it to be intense and will be pretty disappointed if the bucks come out flat.

Im not worried about Boston in the final four minutes. Im still worried about our defense against any good, two-way team. Huge early test, but a team that is still sorting out who will stick and what we need, its very important.

All i ask is that we dont over help on D and just make them beat our guys one on one instead of wide open 3s. Come out early and set the tone and let the chips fall.

Can hear the cadence on the pod and see Russillo giggling in DSL resolution on the other end.

Will be interesting to see if we get Dre or Green for this one. Would love to see Giannis on Tatum and Dre on Brown. Beasley gonna get Jrue but i guarantee you they try to get Dame switched on to Jrue at least once.

Obviously, Jrue will guard Dame and i hope this is a game where Dame is aggressive from the start.

The one consolation if we lose this game is that the post game takes and the narrative (By Boston and the national media) will be pure gold to look back on in April/May when Giannis and Dame and the rest of the team has 60+ games under their belt.

A win here would be nice, but I'll be happy with a good competitive game. We're still a work in progress and we're on the road.

Either this game doesn’t matter whatsoever, or the Celtics are a bunch of bums that better get ready to learn Chinese.

Curious where the line will be set. I guess the Celtics will be favored, but only by a point or so.

Just don't see how we can match up against the greatest starting lineup in the history of organized sport.

Things ill be most interested in seeing:

1. How Boston guards Giannis and how Giannis navigates whatever they do. Its going to be multiple guys, reaching, swatting and sliding in for charge calls. Nothing he hasnt seen before. He looks a lot more ready to deal with that than he did 10 days ago.

2. How much Dame is able to separate from Jrue and White. Im honestly more worried about White. He's really good at recovery blocks without fouling. If Dame can still draw fouls against that guy, Boston is going to have a very tough time stopping us.

3. Brook and Bobby: can they assert themselves on offense and take some of the load off our main guys? Particularly Brook. I dont think they have an answer for him.

I'm going to be really annoyed when Jrue flops on Giannis and draws a charge. National media will hype Jrue's play and defensive impact but he's going to finish like 6/14 for 14 pts.

I expect the Celtics to win because of our work in progress but several storylines I'll be following:

1) Can Brook be effective with the reconfigured rosters? KP and Horford are really good spacing bigs and they might put up 20 3's combined if Brook is in the drop. I think this is our biggest challenge against Boston.
2) Can Giannis maintain his efficiency now that the only guy who has a prayer guarding him on their roster is Horford? Jrue might be effective in short spurts on the perimeter against him but good look if he catches it in the post
3) Can Dame still get to the line and break that wall? This will be his first big test and this is one of the teams we brought him in to combat.
4) Without Jae and Middleton on a minutes restriction, can Marjon and Dre bother the Jays at all?

Ill say it again though: only thing i care about is that our front office blocks out the easy wins against bad defensive teams and focuses on how we are doing in games like these when making future personnel decisions. This is where we find out about guys like Beasley. The youngsters get more leeway but Beas cant be a liability.

Definitely. I obviously want a win but I won't be hair on fire if we lose to a good team on the road. Jrue has been Jrue. Really good at times, bad other times (Monday night). But I will always love the guy.

Championship odds back down to +400. Kicking myself for not getting +450.

I will guess Boston will be favored by 4 points assuming Derrick White plays.
