If Isaac got injured, you could play Wendell in his role.

And I caught a shirt from a t shirt cannon that said Play InTournament. Collectors item lol!
Suggs in person was completely psychotic this game, which was insanely fun to watch. Man if he can score like this night in and night out, he has a real chance to be one of the most likable Magic players of all time.
Great game, Magic fans!
Really glad that you had a great time! I hope the Magic play this well whenever I make it to the Amway center
Hey thanks! It was both of my kids first basketball game ever, so the early lead and great mood of the crowd allowed them to dance to the music all game.

Isn't there also a wild card team that makes it? Personally I think an adjustment for next year would be to get rid of points differental and the tie breaker just be the overall record.drsd wrote:tooler wrote:Edrock wrote:Wouldn't the math mean they'd only have to BEAT them by half the pt. diff in a H2H match up since for every pt. you win by, it'd also be -1 in pt. diff for the losing team so a 7 pt win H2H is a 14 pt swing in pt. diff?
This guy maths. It's 17 vs. 6 right now so we'd have to beat them by 6.
But it's meaningless because Boston and the Nets still have games to play, so the numbers could be all different.
If Orlando beats the Celts, it is probably a three way tie at 3-1. Thus Orlando needs not only to win over Boston, but to make the tourney, the Magic must drub Boston. That does seem unlikely.

This makes so much more sense to me. Like why are we doing this point differential thing when they like scheduling these damn tournament games as a part of back to backs
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Another beautiful win, I am becoming a believer in this team. Everyone was really solid. Obviously Suggs was dominant, Paolo was great, Goga and Isaac were excellent defensively, but Cole was also really good as a playmaker in a rare display of unselfish play.
The bench has been such an asset this year.

Yes, one wild card team makes it, best record, not including the group winners of course, from all 3 groups. With only 4 games for each team, you need some form of a tie breaker as there will be multiple teams with the exact same record. Using overall record so far in the season wouldn't be fair because it is too early and not part of the tournament. How else are they going to choose which team advances?IllMagic04 wrote:Isn't there also a wild card team that makes it? The wildcard will be one of the 3-1 teams. Thus, winning big is important to be the wildcard.
As of now, only Indiana is a lock. From there there are seven teams vying for the final 3 spots: Cleveland, Milwaukee, Miami, Boston, Brooklyn, and Orlando.
Orlando can actually win its group, or be a wildcard in all of this. A 20+ point win over Boston would help

Why wouldn't it be fair? Who cares that its early in the season. Its a fair way to break the tie and get the better team in. It should be like thisBCS wrote:Yes, one wild card team makes it, best record, not including the group winners of course, from all 3 groups. The wild card tie breaker could be most road wins in the tournament. If thats a tie then most home wins in the tournament. If thats a tie then it can go best overall record. I hate tie breakers being connected to point difference. I dont like the idea of teams playing best players late in blowout wins.

The East will have multiple teams with 2 home wins and 1 road win. And actually, wouldn't a team with 2 road wins and 1 home win actually be stronger???

But NBC/ESPN/TNT does. This is all about the green.

Right but thats my issue. We shouldn't have to blow them out. We probably not even gonna win. I def think they should take a look at the tie breakers. That being said every game matters. Had we beaten the Nets like we certainly could have the the Boston game would be for the group.drsd wrote:IllMagic04 wrote:Isn't there also a wild card team that makes it? Kinda crazy how they made 14 threes shooting 50% and we still blew them out. Another sign they the defense is legit, we’re not just relying/getting lucky on bad shooting nights for teams.

I haven’t seen the rankings but it might be accurate. The east is strong this year and we need more data to see where everyone outside of Boston really lands.

If Goga could finish more around the rim, he'd be a damn good starter in the league. No joke
Play Jase or Trade for Alvarado

It's about right. Knicks might be a tad high and OKC may not be as legit as they seem, but that could be true of Orl as well.

Looking at the box score, that shot distribution is about as good as it’s going to get. Love it but I fear of what’s going to happen once WCJ and Fultz are back.

The issue with that is we might get Boston on the road and lose, while BKN gets Bulls and Raptors for example. We tie with them but they went 2-0 on the road while we got screwed and got BOS on the road and lost. Will not be fair.IllMagic04 wrote:Right the first tie breaker could be road wins. If we go with overall record so far. Then at that point every game is an in season tournament game but once again not fair, some teams might have had a tough road schedule facing tougher opposition, that will also call for unfairness.
The point differential is pretty fair considering other options. Maybe they can get creative and change it up to I don't know highest fg% or something, but that is unlikely.

I think it's the right spot at the moment but we could fall. Lots of strong teams below us.
What's funny is we're ranked right below Indiana. I know it's about the overall picture and they just clinched a tournament berth, but it's really amusing to see after that beatdown.
