I get how some of you chicken littles are downplaying the game already, but it's a huge measuring stick for us on many levels, with or without Tatum.
These are, Philly's good start notwithstanding, the 2 best teams in the East and so anytime they meet it'll be a marquee game. That said, I think it means more for Boston. For one, they're the home team and it always stings a little more to lose these marquee games when you're the home team. Second the issues that Boston has are personnel-related, a reliance on jump shooting and frontcourt depth. I think the team we see today is largely the team we'll see in 6 months. With the Bucks, obviously Dame and Giannis are still working out the kinks, Jae who is 5th on the team in minutes per game is out and Khris is still on a minutes limit. With all of that, if they still win at Boston and it isn't because of some ridiculous anomaly performance like Dame going 9-11 from 3, that's worrisome if you're Boston.
