Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving sparked controversy after showing up to Saturday’s postgame press conference wearing a Palestinian keffiyeh.

The Mavericks star, who claimed to be a “committed” Muslim in 2021, wore the black and white checkered headgear despite having no cultural connection to the Palestinians as he spoke about the game.

Irving did not make any verbal statements about the garment, offer any reasons for wearing it, or speak to any political situations around the world.

...
Irving, of course, was suspended in November of 2022 for refusing to disavow the antisemitic tweets he had made in the months before his suspension, including his support for the notoriously antisemitic group the Black Israelites.

This Magic team is going to be a problem in the future, they are enormous on the perimeter.

So many good young up and coming teams and stars around the league. Nice if we had one.

He just might be. I think on any given night there are about 5 guys who can make that claim. He is one of them. Brunson is another.

Kyrie doesn’t even realize he’s hurting the Palestinian cause by doing this. Makes it a lot easier to dismiss anyone supporting them as antisemite when prominent antisemites take up their mantle. Also find it funny that breitbart pretends to care about antisemitism, after employing Milo and Steve Bannon for years.

Haliburton has been better over that same stretch, LaMelo is doing an old Harden impersonation, you can't convince me a guy taking 25 shots a game and then getting that many assists is good for a offense in the long run, it's complete ball domination by 1 guy.

yeah I mean I wouldn't turn it down

you would have to load up on low usage 3/D guys along with Mitch, Hali is making offense look easy (which it isn't).
