Not the best but possibly the most memorable. 8 Assists with 1 Turnover, 1 Foul is a step in the right direction for a guy who often loses his handle or dribbles the ball off his foot. 10-16 FG's is impressive as well. All around consistent effort, didn't slack off on defense.

I didn't watch the game and couldn't believe Brown's 8-1 A/TO ratio. Still a dumb player but well done tonight.

The Cs will face hard times in the playoffs, there will be games similar to this and to that Hornets game.

If the Cs can find ways to get a win when it's ugly, that's championship level basketball.

The way the Bucks were defending all of a sudden later in the game ( holding players off ball trying to cut ) is what the Celtics should expect in the Finals if they make it. But any team will do it if the refs just decide to all of a sudden ref the game differently. It was why the Celtics lost to the Warriors . Clutching and grabbing. Celts tried it back but Curry is hard to hold. It’s so lame but they have to be ready for that.

Amazing at the calls Tatum could NOT get that he deserved. Amazed that they gave that marginal foul shot to Lopez when Tatum had been hammered the last two times on the other end and there was no whistle giving the Celtics free throws.

Hopefully Jaylen realises he can still get his touches in the flow of the offense and have the chance to make plenty of plays as he did tonight.

The two man game with him and Porzingis will always be there.

If he can play more like that, this offense will be incredibly hard for any team to stop when Tatum is not under the weather and Porzingis gets his stroke back.

I posted this in the Jaylen thread, but will quote it here.

Hopefully Jaylen can build on this and not try doing everything off the dribble.

How often does Jaylen do 8/1 or better on A/TO?

We really only "took care of business" in the first. We only outscored them by a total of 3 points in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, then got outscored by 12 in the final Q.

The 2023 NBA champs outscored their competition by an average of 3.4 points per game last season. You can't win every game by 48. That's just not how it works.

Our defense wasn't great after the first. And we had a 21 point lead we squandered well before the 4th. Good win, but we almost let it slip away.

Thought our defense was completely fine until Porzingis got in foul trouble.

Giannis was made to work all game and shot horribly.

Dame struggled for three quarters and only got going at the end.

Game in Orlando next on the docket. Then 7 straight games at home, where we remain undefeated.

Joe Mazzulla might just save his job if we keep winning 80% of our games.

He's going for home court. Kornet doesn't play forceful enough to really impact Lopez, Portis and Giannis. Banton is unpredictable, and his ball handling is not as tight as White, Holiday or Pritch and his shot is not as proven as Hauser or Pritch. Lazar Stevens may be a bit small for Milwaukee's size, there are probably better situations to throw him in. Svi is not up to Milwaukee defensively, and Brissett doesn't have a reliable shot. This was not the game to test out Jordan Walsh. I get what Joe did this game.

But eventually, he's gotta get Banton and Stevens in particular some reps, and letting Walsh actually get meaningful floor time.

My one big beef with this team which we saw tonight and last game is the walking the ball up when the game starts getting close.

Mazzulla is a coach who emphasises getting lots of shots up.

We got plenty of good looks in the first three quarters from pushing the pace and getting the Bucks d out of position.

It simply makes zero sense to slow down the ball and get forced into tough isolation shots. It never works for us.

Why do we insist on doing this?

I swear it’s like Tatum etc are scared of playing fast late.

Facts, he was the fall guy. Bubble gum Joe should have gone first

Then he’s coming off the bench.

I have nothing but love for Marcus and what he did to bring a rebuilding team out of the depths.

But now we have Holiday and White running the show - it’s a calculated move as it’s the time to strike. No time to be sentimental.

Just a reminder, the Celtics offense is at its best when slowing it down. And that every team slows it down even more in the last three minutes or so.

It’s just about making the right play, and hitting shots. Doesn’t matter if you’re going fast, or methodically.
