At least he's not parroting Bucks fans with their yearly excuses. But since they beat themselves I guess the game didn't count. Oh well

Not just for keeping our main 6 fresher, but we need one more acclimated with the regulars should any of our top 8 miss a game. Of course, that will happen. every backup we have has a different skillset. So depending on who misses time can affect who comes in. But I'd rather have a player that can play multiple positions (3) Be good on defense while being able to shoot and pass. With that said only our youngster qualifies for me. JORDAN WALSH.

And I don't think Walsh being my "binky" is clouding my decision.

Walsh can play at any of the 2-3-4 type positions. No one else can really do that.

Walsh > SVI .. Walsh better at everything except shooting.

Walsh > Banton.. Baton and Walsh similar perhaps on defense but shooting/spacing/ and possibly scoring edge seems to be Walsh.

Walsh > Stevens and Brisett. similar defense but solid edge in shooting scoring potential.

Kornet should play minus Al or KP.

Walsh not being able to shoot more or less disqualifies him from being in Mazulla's rotation. Mazulla clearly DOES NOT like playing players that can't shoot the 3. And I understand why, it really screws up the flow of their offense.

Well for the better or the worse Walsh's sample size is still small.. But just looking at his mechanics and his stroke. I do believe he has real shooting potential.. Is certainly as good or better than Brissett or stevens..

I don't know about that.

Career 3 pt shooting %
Brissett 34%
Stevens 29%
Walsh 0%

If we just look at last season:
Brissett 31%
Stevens 32%
Walsh 28%

And keep in mind, last season Walsh was facing much easier competition (NCAA, rather than NBA) and was shooting from a closer 3 pt line in NCAA than they shoot from in the NBA.

It's by no means a certainty that Walsh can shoot better on an NBA floor right now than Brissett or Stevens, imo. Hell, we don't even know if he can defend, rebound or pass as well as those guys at the NBA level. Walsh is completely an unknown, unproven player at the NBA level. He's played 0 NBA minutes and barely played in preseason.

Clearly the team is bringing him along slowly, using this season to develop him in the G league. I still like Walsh's long term potential.

We're on top of the league right now. No need to rush his development. Next season he will hopefully be ready to compete for rotation minutes.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

He played in a way that was great given his teammates. KP got lobs from him. Pritchard got open catch-and-shoots several feet behind the 3pt line.

Hauser got an open finish at the rim. :)

GrandTheftRondo wrote:My one big beef with this team which we saw tonight and last game is the walking the ball up when the game starts getting close.

Mazzulla is a coach who emphasises getting lots of shots up.

We got plenty of good looks in the first three quarters from pushing the pace and getting the Bucks d out of position.

It simply makes zero sense to slow down the ball and get forced into tough isolation shots. It never works for us.

Why do we insist on doing this?

I swear it’s like Tatum etc are scared of playing fast late.

Agree. Maybe he tries to emulate KD or other greats that do that? Maybe it's never been brought up into question, who knows.
