With Jrue out, I'm assuming Al starts.

Tatum had some trouble defending Paolo last season. Paolo had a couple of plays where he was just a little big too big and strong for tatum to defend 1 on 1. I think Al should match up better defensively vs Paolo. So Al in the starting 5 works out good.

Bring Kornet off the bench for a few mins here and there..with Pritchard and Hauser.

We might see some spot mins for a 9th man - either Svi, Brissett, Banton or Stevens.

Might be fun to put Banton in there for for a few mins here or there and have him match up with Anthony Black. They're fairly similar players - tall PG's who can pressure the rim, feisty defenders, not good shooters. Black is obviously better, but Banton is a little bit taller and has 2 more years of NBA experience, is a few yrs older so he should be able to match up fairly well vs him..

Good move to rest Jrue. It's just November - no need to push it, no need to rush him back. Best to be conservative with an ankle injury - they can linger and can cause performance issues if they linger - as we saw last season with Marcus.

That's when the game changed. Tatum took a bad three the possession before I recall for no reason. He didn't attack Middelton multiple times in the 4th then it clicked that he's a washed terrible defender SMH..

Yep, then JB with a tough floater inside. All three could've moved the ball a bit for a better shot since there was still time on shot clock. Lead cut to 10, Joe calls timeout and they get an easy open three from KP. Execution was fine after that but they couldn't stop Dame.

The play before Jrue's injury was Jaylen open three after about 3 swing passes.
Tatum attacked Middleton pretty much every time they were matched up in the 4th. They were matched up 6 times by my count and there were:
1 postup resulted in an open layup missed
3 drives resulting in one strip by Connaughton, 1 layup, and 1 trip to the line
2 x double or triple teamed. Passed out once and took a slightly open three on the other.
1 x passed to Jaylen curl on a designed play resulting in an open three after a swing pass from the corner.
Only 3 points but it's just not correct to say Tatum didn't attack Middleton.
