Wander Franco, now Giddey. These dudes need to realize not to mess around with minors now that they are in the United States. Yep, as crazy as it sounds, to someone not from the US it's about as puzzling as Britney Griner getting locked up for weed.

For example the age of consent in Germany is 14. From my high school days I can remember some of the pretty girls in my grade having boyfriends with cars. The biggest difference I ever saw was a 16 year old with a 28 year old boyfriend.

That said, I still respect every country's law and feel as though guys should always be aware of their rights and the country or even state law.

Unless what has happened is the most extreme version of events being discussed (Giddey 21, The girl 14/15), this would be something that is commonplace and accepted across most of Europe, South America, Oceania, Africa, Asia, and many states of North America. As in, accepted to the point that you could bring the other one to meet the parents.

if my 15 yo had a fake id made and went into a bar and an off duty cop checks her in..... and then she predates on some unsuspecting college kid and gets drunk as hell with him....and then **** him and posts on social media about it..... then no i would not have a problem with the poor victim in this case... the boy

to me if minors can be charged as an adult if they whack somebodys ass. then i think there needs to be exceptions with underage sex the same way there is with murder so people can use their damn common sense about it when "a minor" is hunting sex with premediation and verifiable deceit with unsuspecting adults. that kind of makes them...adults

This is pure guesswork, but supposedly she is either 16 or 17. Not that I'm an expert, far from it as I'm not even from the States, just going of rumors about the expected age for the class she is from. Again, per internet "detectives, everything should be taken with a big grain of salt.

In most of Europe, a 20-year-old dude (he only just turned 21 so its safe to say he met her while still 20) dating a 16 or 17-year-old girl would not be news. The same goes for Australia most likely. The age of consent in Oklahoma is 16 as well. A bit weird, yes. Calling him a criminal like some did is a big reach though.

That some of you cannot comprehend that while the law may draw a bright line between 15 years 11months 364 days 23 hours 59 minutes and 16 years, the reality outside of that is that there isn't that much difference at all is sad.

Usually the law is only invoked when someone with standing files a complaint. There is a reason for that. There's also a reason many people find the anti-abortion laws so repugnant despite the general halo that surrounds the idea of being "pro-life".
