What do you think Masai's plan is in the off season?
Sign OG and Pascal to the max and run it back?

I'm shocked they didn't credit Scottie with the block.
Scottie should have 3 blocks.
Siakam pissed me off so much on that play. Like wtf are u doing there lol.
While Barnes was amazing to make up for Siakam quitting on the play, it definitely was a goaltend lol.
Leaking out when the game was in garbage time. Oh no!
Garbage is right

Dennis has been great as starting PG. It also frees up Scottie for other actions. However, I like it when Barnes is handling more of the PG duties in the 4th quarter/clutch like Lebron does.MoMan24 wrote:hyper316 wrote:Schroder is not the ideal starting point guard, he would be awesome leading the bench tho
Such a forced fit cause he is tight with the coach. Scottie at point, Siakam as the go to scorer and OG as the 3+D++ is the dream.

Yes, but the options are limited. They have to either sign them to the most money, or sign and trade. Masai backed himself into a corner.

After the trade deadline is when those become the only two options.
I’m still hoping for a trade to happen. Silly me I know.

The usual. He made one mistake yesterday and bad comments about him jumped out like grass after a rainy day.
There wasn’t much to complain about last night but the usual whiners are still crying. Some people just see everything in a negative light…it’s a terrible way to live.

Ok and? It was literally one possession. You guys nit pick everything pascal does while everyone else gets a pass. We got a win and everyone played well why are we even talking about that play?
Pascal played well today he was getting his teammates involved and not forcing his offense. Sure he gives up some blow bys, but if you guys take off the Scottie fan boy glasses you’d see it happens to everyone once in a while.
Regardless of nitpicking his play, Siakam looked happy this game and that is important. He is buying in to what Darko wants to do.
This is one fine coach.

Sign and trades are generally useless (hello precious), we are most likely rolling this team back next yearartsncrafts wrote:ArthurVandelay wrote:artsncrafts wrote:What do you think Masai's plan is in the off season?

But he’s the second best point guard this franchise has ever had.
I don't really know how you parse between Stoudamire, Calderon and Schroeder. They were all basically exactly the same level of player (Damon's raw stats better because his teammates couldn't create anything) but if Schroeder's 3pt shooting regresses to 34% or so I'd guess that he'll be #3 (or #4 if you prefer Stoudamire, who did later start for good Portland teams) behind Calderon for his strengths (shooting, incredible A/TO) over Dennis' (driving, not good on defence but better than Calderon), particularly on this team where we have defenders but could use more shooting.
The Fred disrespect is wild.

He is happy because he is the focal point of the offense again. He was kind of sulking for the first few games, when the roles were reveresed with Scottie.

When you don't get what you want, play like **** so your entire team suffers until they change it back to what you want. Then enjoy the treadmill and the new contract.
Maybe, I'm just being too cynical.

He had 18 points on 12 shots with 8 assists. I'm not seeing any focal point except ball movement. Sure the odd play is called for specific players at specific times, but that was no Siakam focused game.

Yeah, true. But that's what has happened and here we are, whether the play was intentional or not.

Yes, but the options are limited. They have to either sign them to the most money, or sign and trade. Masai backed himself into a corner.
One thing fans will need to accept is OG is getting over 40 plus million a season. If not other teams will come with offers just like Fred got some an insane offer. Only 26 and I could easily see some team with loads of money going after him for 45-50 mllion a season
Maybe OG decides to go play with Wembanyama and they have plenty of cap money, they could easily offer 45m x 4 with no state taxes. Or 76ers who have 2 stars in place and will have 55 mllion in cap space, either way OG because of elite wing defending and high 3 point shooting will get offers.

Re: PG: We May Never Lose Again
It looks to me that Siakam is enjoying playing with Scottie more and more now and that he appreciates his full development. Maybe they both can coexist?
But part of me wants to really see Scottie’s full potential when he’s the top priority and players being brought in to specifically build around Scottie’s game.

Vuce is one of the worst defensive centres in the league, relax. Jak had a good game, against a bottom 5 team, lets not give him the MVP trophy quite yet.

Props TZ!
