I think I’m out on Khris as far his injuries go, but to this day he’s still a really good player. Sucks his body is falling apart.

More like sucks we didn’t flip him for something of value when we had the chance knowing that his body was going to fall apart.

Yea wonder what the medicals were before making the decision. The team friendly deal isn’t so team friendly if he can’t stay healthy and probably should’ve been a red flag.

He's been terrible for Memphis, he was addition by subtraction for Boston, but he'd help here?

He's a fraud. His foul baiting focus is useless on a team outside of Boston, the only team the league gives preferentional officiating.

3 times 1st team all defense and last 4 playoff runs averaged .354% from 3. He's literally exactly what we need. Memphis is a dumpster fire and his role is too large, he would slot right in perfectly here like he did with the Celtics. Easily at the top of the list of guys to put next to Dame.

Smart would be great next to Dame and Beasley would be better as a bench scorer. Not sure how to make it work but if we could entice Memphis, Smart is a great domino in Milwaukee.

As long as Smart knows hes the 4th or 5th option and is happy being a glue guy on a contender, it would be great.

Smart is not a fraud, he is a solid perimeter defender that can defend up. So far the Memphis experiment has failed, more so because he should not be playing point and he no longer has much better offensive players surrounding him to make up for his deficiencies. With the Bucks, he would become the defensive backbone this team sorely lacks, whether or not you believe his talent is legit, there is no arguing with his ability to provide leadership and a mentality that the Bucks certainly could use. He would also be one of the few players in the league that would not be afraid to hold his teammates accountable on the defensive side of the ball. I would not trade even a broken down Midds for him, but I would for sure trade a package of Bobby and Pat, I would also throw in Marjon if it nets you Aldama but I am very high on Santi. Another point on Smart, he would be incredibly motivated in Milwaukee to take down Boston.

I would prefer Thybulle, I think he is an insanely better defender albeit not always traditional in his tactics. I also think Thybulle is the exact kind of defender that AG would like to run his system and being aggressive in gaps. Thybulle has always made the most sense to me as Dame has taken him under his wing even before he was an NBA player, they have the same agent, and he is locked up on a good contract for the next few years.
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

Giannis: “Nothing. Just get a ring now.”

Midds becomes a great trade chip in year three when he’s a big expiring contract. Until then, it’s tough to get anything useful for him with no real picks to trade along with him (again they only have the Blazers 2nd and their own 27 second right now and on draft day 2024 they can also move their 24 first by selecting a player for a team and their 32 first and second might be available to move after 7/1/24 but that even might be blocked by them being a second apron team)

I’m on the Thybulle train if he can be had for Pat and the Blazers getting their second back.

On Midds, I really think this is all a combination of multiple things: the college knee injury, the achilles injury, and when they won the title and him and Jrue jumped on a plane to go bail out Team USA immediately after so he got no offseason after that grind.

I wonder how much GM Giannis had to do with the signing of Kris ? Hope Giannis doesn't turn into James as far as being a team GM !

I try not to speculate out loud what really goes on behind the scenes. I think if Horst told Giannis that signing and trading Khris would help the team, he would stay out of it, but who knows.
