Powell vs Zubac plus no Luka = disaster.

I hate sounding like a broken record... but with all due respect to DP. There's gotta be FA big men available that at least can hold their own against a NBA center and can grab a rebound against them.

20 of 29 Clipper points were in the paint.

Its this more than anything. Not one guy can keep a their man in front of them. Just roll out the red carpet, hold the opponents hand, and walk them to the paint/rimdirkules_41 wrote:20 of 29 Clipper points were in the paint.

The main problem is that there is absolutely nobody there to protect the rim once you beat your primary defender. So the whole game becomes easy for the offense as they just need to pick their preferred one on one and blow by. Job done. Time and time again.
It just becomes one dimensional and any mistake on the perimeter immediately leads to points.
It's extra tragic seeing a cheap pickup like Daniel Theis on the other side.

Seth Curry has been struggling.
Mavs just don’t look sharp. Having too much fun in LA the last three nights.

That too but also just a terrible big man rotation. The moment Holmes checks out its a free for all and by all means he's no relevation but he feels like it compared to what happens when he subs out

Outrebounded by 13. Shooting 37% and 12.5% from deep... quite something really.

Has to be distracting to have the dude from Good Burger right by your bench too.

Mavs look like the team playing a B2B.
Keep it close then maybe we can run them off the floor in the 4th.

Pathetic performance all around - what has Morris done to Kidd btw to merit a roster spot but not even see minutes when nothing else works? Either sign a different big or play him.

This is a really bad loss with the Clippers being older and on a B2B.
Harden and Leonard are 3-18 currently.

Re: RS 23/24 - Mavs @ Clippers (Sat. 10:30PMEST)
Pathetic effort by the team especially since the Clips were coming off a B2B. Literally only Kyrie showed up. Luka had 30 but was not his normal self at all. Not sure if that early game hand injury affected him or his leg injury is catching up to him.
Grant was scared to shoot again. Green somehow reverted back to rookie Green again. Exum played very good defense but his shot has been really iffy. DJJ looked lost today on both ends. Lastly, both Holmes and Powell were as bad as it gets.
Really bad loss.

I'd complain about not having an adequate frontcourt but I'm tired of sounding like a broken record.
If Cuban and company aren't sick of getting embarrassed by watching his team get brutalized in the paint every night, then why should I give a crap.
Seriously, how reckless and stupid is it to think a 19 yo. rookie would hold up for an 82+ game season and not address some type of realistic backup support plan for him?
They knew what they had in Powell and still re-signed him knowing he was their answer all along.
That is the true definition of insanity.
-20 in rebounds....they are getting what they deserve.
