If the Magic end up a top 6 seed, it's a no brainer that Mosley will get a contract extension

I think even if they end up 7-8 seed he will still get a contract extension this offseason

With the 30th pick in the NBA draft, the Orlando Magic select .....

I can't wait to hear that from Silver!

We're up to #19 on offense.

One weird stat is that Houston is tied with us currently on offense and defense.

New NBA is very weird, looking at Pacers...

Pacers highs throughout first 15 games:

143 (would be #5 in Magic history)
157 (would be #1 in Magic history)
152 (tied for #2 in Magic history)
136 (would be in top 10)

Seems like they're doing it easily too, and we destroyed them lol

Interestingly enough, 128 is enough to be in our top 50, which we had against Indiana and played our bench and third stringers for a good amount. 126 and 124 recently from us seem normal but just outside of top 50.

I don't think it's unrealistic to finish as the 4 seed. You have that first tier of teams in Boston, Milwaukee and Philly which will probably most likely finish 1-3 in some order. After that there's a logjam of teams at that next level and I think we're just as good if not better than the Knicks, cavs, heat, pacers etc. At this point I'd be slightly disappointed if we ended up at 7-8.

Currently 5th in point differential, 3rd in the east. Not bad!

Orlando is now 15th in Offensive Rating, dropped to 3rd in Defensive Rating however (Only .2 behind 1st)

That’s quite a change from days ago when we were 26th. This deep in the season you don’t see changes that drastic right?

Still 5th in net rating although it improved.

Not typically, looking at the last 5 games we've scored:

128
126
124
113
130

Provides context for the leap we've seen in Offensive Efficiency.

I will say watching the Magic on offense, it's more enjoyable, and less painful than any point since Dwight has left, for what it's worth

Now I'm curious, is there any 5 game stretch where the Magic have scored more than they have in their last 5 games?

A must read for all stat's nerds by NBA.com

A Guide To What Is Making The Orlando Magic So Good Right Now

Josh Cohen is providing the good and the bad about the stats that underline the Magic's record. Really interesting.

The three-headed monster of Paolo-Wagner-Anthony are leading us through these games. It's remarkable. You can see there is a genuine belief that they are better than the other team, that they can score whenever they want to, and that they can shut the other team down.

I keep thinking about how one of these games we'll run into a full strength team for 48 minutes. Then I remember we're down two starters. And maybe that's secretly a good thing but still.

After a few tough games, we've lost a little of the massive defensive and net rating advantage we had in the first half of games. We're still #1 in defense but it's closer now, and we're #2 in net after the Celtics.

Best part of the streak is my podcast lineup today is loaded. We lead Sam Vecinie podcast. Heavily covered in Brian Windhorst podcast and also get good coverage in the group chat ringer nba podcast.
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.
