Hawks Tarred and Feathered! Victory Cigar vs ATL 11/26

Post#1 » by bisme37 » Mon Nov 27, 2023 1:20 am

Omg you guys the Celts played a good game and got back in the win column hooray!

Tatum led the way and JB, Horford and White were all big. Plus nice minutes from Queta off the bench and Sam Hauser is a filthy sniper lol.

Hawks went on a run in the 3rd but the Celts stayed tough. And like Scal I didn't understand the drop coverage, but we did hold the Hawks to 103 points when they came into the game averaging 145 per game in their last 3. With no KP or Jrue it was a good day at the office for Boston.

Tournament game vs Bulls Tuesday, Go C's!

Celtics had like 20 wide open shots in crunch time and missed ALL of them.

Crunch time defense was very good but still.

JT VC and JB CP.

Cs needed points against this high-powered Hawks team and the Jays stepped up.

Queta & Banton beat out Stevens, Brissett, Mykhailiuk and Walsh.
I like these 2 in the Rotation.

I enjoyed it. Idc, all wins don't have to be pretty. every team wants to beat us, they will play like it's the playoffs, we just gotta get to the playoffs oiled and healthy. not only that, we beat the hawks in the playoffs, they were going to play hard.

Dalano Banton has a much higher upside than people think IMO, he has a great feel for the game but he just can't shoot

I like defense, so I enjoyed that game very much.

White or Tatum for VC. Being on a home stretch should be nice for this team, they had played almost twice as many road games as home coming into tonight.

pritchard played a lil more than banton but I couldn't tell. thought banton did well given the circumstances.

QUETAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! more work to go on defense than offense but he was a nice surprise tonight!

A win is a win. Team is not playing great. Mediocre the last 5 out of 6 games but getting wins.

while I enjoyed it as well, truth is I am no longer getting as high or low during the regular season after the last 2 or 3 years. Still never miss a game though.

We won by 10 against a team that just set some kind of a scoring record by holding them to 103 with $75 mil. of payroll sitting out. A 2-way player played 15 minutes for us. All things considered, it was a good effort.

Don’t be logical mate.

Remember, each game we lose in the regular season means we are closer to blowing up the team!!!

just gotta hold on until we get to what it's all about. I am a fan of teams that lose perennially, I can get up for a team that is just short of a chip every season without issue.

Had to scramble to make their quota of 3pt attempts...

Shot 29/58 from 2, 50%

imagine if the shot a few more of those, particularly at the end

Al with 15 boards and 2 blocks btw. Yeah yeah the drop, but the hawks couldn’t get ANYTHING at the rim.

The drop coverage is a Mazz call though.

Not on Al, he was fantastic apart from his wide open 3’s.

The team hasn’t been fun to watch in a while. The offense has slowed to a dead stop with the usual suspects leading the way.
