Good W.
Nice response after giving up 20 point lead in Q3…as usual.
D won the game.
Horrible 3 point shooting.
JT great line - way too many sloppy TOs.
#7 decent & selfish.
Al rebounded & Derrick assisted & Sam shot the lights out AGAIN.
Queta w some solid minutes!
When do we expect Jrue & Zinger back?

PS Loss to Magic earlier in the week was disgusting MISled by #7.

Let’s finish off the Bulls & Sixers at home this week & get to 15-4!
**** this stupid tournament nonsense.

I have to admit, I love having Porzingis. And he's awesome. But he is an absolute turnstile on defense. I know people are loving his presence in the middle, but he gets blown by if he's anywhere more than 5 feet from the rim.

That's going to be a problem.

The Celtics' system requires you to make shots when open.

Yeah, gotta at least be able to hit corner 3s with some type of consistency.

The trade off with KP is he really makes it difficult for oppising players to score in the paint.

But it's also true he gets blown by easily.

It’s a tiny sample, but if we’re talking about so far this season, Porzingis has been statistically elite defending isolation. Has allowed 0.85 PPP in those situations.

Of course guards will beat him off the dribble, dude is 7’3 lol.

White had 14 potential assists, Tatum had 13, and Jaylen had 10.

Those are really good numbers without Holiday.

Most 7;3 guys get blown by trying to guard short fast guards. He does recover pretty quickly to rim protect though. I have said from the day we signed him, Queta needs to be the 15th roster spot, so he will be available during the playoffs also. Porzingis, Horford, Kornet and Queta all bring something different to the 5 spot and make a VERY deep big man lineup.

Now we just need Stevens or Brissett to take over and own the backup 4 spot behind Tatum, so we don't have to play Horford at the 4 unless we want to play two big men.

His aggression can be a double-edged sword sometimes.

I just listened to the full interview. It appears JB has started politicking for accolades a tad early this year. The tone of the interview appears he’s on a mission to “prove” he has improved this year. Strange coming from a “max” player.

Lol what? Are we bashing JB for his demeanor now?

Get with the program.

I don't like the way Jaylen was breathing during last night's game. Get him off the team! :)
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

At least criticize real things about Jaylen, there’s enough that you don’t need to reach for his press conference lol.

Luke got destroyed in the 3rd. They went right at him every play and scored at least 12-15 points by getting the Kornet switch. Joe is slow at recognizing problems.
Queta got a few scored on him but those boards made up for it.
Hauser is so much better at defense and getting into the mix.
Al played like he was 6 years younger.
Fun game

Typical JB Hype Machine response. I “reached” for the press conference because someone posted a quote from it.

I wanted to hear his response in context. JB on a campaign to “prove” he is a “playmaker” has a real impact on the success of our TEAM.

I’ve listened to post game conferences for years from every coach we’ve had AND other players on the TEAM. The same way I enjoyed Queta’s interview.

JB focusing on the name on the back of the jersey has been a REAL issue for years. It’s right in front of our faces on the court AND his words.

DENIAL is a heck of a drug the Hype Machine prescribes to.

Don't think you know the Jaylen fans and Jaylen haters on this board dude lol

As for the quotes...it's a little cringe but he's always been this way. Who cares, actions will always speak louder than words. I will say that Jaylen's passing has been noticeably better this year (when he does it).

He still can't dribble and falls asleep on defense all the time though

I don’t give a damn about his media answers. That’s definitely reaching lol, I’m just frustrated at his play.

54% TS
-14.5 on/off, 7th percentile. Next closest rotation player is Al at -7.9.
+0.5 EPM, 91st in the league.
+1.8 DPM, 51st in the league.
-0.7 BPM, which is 110th in the league.

0.82 PPP in isolation, 36th percentile.
0.84 PPP as PnR ball handler, 48th percentile. This one has been dropping by the game.
0.91 PPP posting up, 37th percentile.
1.05 PPP spotting up, 50th percentile.
1.25 PPP off of screens, 78th percentile. Maybe do that more? lol.
1.09 PPP in transition, 45th percentile. Tatum is our only player doing well in transition, the team has been horrid overall.
1.33 PPP off of cuts, 60th percentile. Maybe do that more?

Jaylen/Tatum on: +6.5 net, 79th percentile.
Jaylen on/Tatum off: -0.3, 44th percentile, also 21st percentile in points per 100 possessions.
Tatum on/Jaylen off: +17.6, 98th percentile.

He’s taken better care of the ball, and has made the right play a bit more often, but he’s been inefficient, ineffective, and has absolutely been a square peg in a round hole. It’s obviously early, but he hasn’t even been a top 50-75 player so far. We need him to be so much better.

Yep, I said it in the GT too. I loved the pursuit of the ball more than the dunk itself. He had another one on the defensive end (forgot which Q). Those are the type of plays that win you games. The highlight dunks wake up the home crowd though.

That’s not accurate though. Statically he’s been really good in space, so far at least.
