What's the problem here? Seems like it's all going according to plan. Expect Jovic v2 to be unleashed next season. Until then, sporadic minutes and more woy interviews

It's messing with his confidence because he's playing bad and he knows it. Seeing the bigger picture at 20 years old is no simple task. So he fears he's being set up for failure because he knows, or thinks he has NBA skill that isn't being utilized properly and the team is trying to make him into something he isn't. I think the team sees more of Jovic's potential and are trying to get him there and he just wants to stick to what he's good at and develop from that point.

Might have to trade him if he doesn't want to defer, two different philosophies clashing here.

The bolded does sound like what's going on, and it is really disappointing! The Heat culture/program needs patience and usually works great with players that have that as well as being willing to put in the work to get better. Not that I'm saying Jovic is not putting in the work, but for whatever reason, doesn't seem like he wants to be patient. Maybe Spo compromises and plays him atleast limited minutes on a regular basis, but it will send the wrong message that you can complain to the media and get minutes, so doubt it plays out the way Jovic seems to want it to.

Bam doubters out here wanting to rest him cause Jimmy ain’t playing. I firmly believe Bam is good enough to win games even without Jimmy and Herro.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

Tim_Hardawayy wrote:The tournament is such a stupid idea, you don't make the regular season matter more by emphasizing a select few games, you make it matter even less while those select few games might matter a tiny bit more. How about a new policy instead, players forfeit game salaries for each game they miss that isn't a medically cleared injury, by a third party doctor. And if you're worried about the games still being competitive, take all the prize money for this tournament, and divvy it up to winning teams in regular season games. Sure might end up only being a few hundred bucks each win when its all said and done, but you'd be surprised what guys would do for that alone.
i like your idea. and this whole in season tournament is incredibly stupid. NBA should abort this ASAP

BTW,the game is at 7:30 pm since it will be here in miami

If you say so, expect less than 25 today from Bam.

25pts-12rbs-4ast-2stl-1blk while holding players under 25%FG in all defensive coverages I call that a legit Superstar. I don't need him to put over 30ppg while simultaneously carrying the entire defense thats just insane, now he has shown to be able to put up those 30+ games as well, but he isn't a volume scorer and Miami is always an equal opportunity offense, that one guy is missing somebody else steps in to take those shots.

I get all that, and he is a legit star. But if Jimmy and Herro are out, it should fall on Bam to pick it up. That means scoring more than 25 in a crucial game vs a playoff rival. Like I said I doubt he puts up 25 tonight, and I doubt he can lead us to a win tonight, we will find out. Doesn’t make him a worse player, just means he isn’t someone that can carry a team. There’s levels to superstardom, carrying a team is a level he has not reached

Nice start...we got them right where we want them! Big leads early for us are usually a bad sign and lead to losses haha.

Return to Miami Heat
