I don't have time to find every single one but yeah here a few I found searching for 3 mins.

only two you can make an argument for are Ja and Fox, and even then I can make a pretty solid pro Scoot argument in that convo. no one else is close now. Russ a few years ago obviously but not anymore.

Scoot he is a top 3 athlete at the PG position in the NBA on day one.

Scoot to Ja never made sense to me. He is build much more like Baron Davis / Derrick Rose.

But none of those comps matter as early results are pointing towards DSJ / Muiday - but its way too early to label him one way or the other.

Oddly despite his crap play PDX wins games when he isnt injured and he is posting some of the better On/Off stats on the team. Thats looking for a rose in a pile of dung but its something.

His stats will probably end up something like rookie Mike Conley, which is the comp I literally had from day 1....

nobody **** comped Scoot to Ja...I said he's a JA LEVEL type of prospect...the playing style comp for Scoot was ALWAYS Baron Davis/Chauncey Billups and that was communicated in this thread many times.

I never said people said he was the perfect 1 for 1 for Ja. But people compared his shooting and athleticism to Ja all the time.

JMAC3 wrote:[
I was told he was the next Ja when it came to athleticism

And from what I have seen he is nowhere near the athlete Ja is, who is a top 1% guy. Ausar is much closer athletically to Ja than what Scoot is.

Chauncey is an awful comparison for Scoot too. He had 24 career dunks and 40% of his shots were 3s.

Baron Davis is fine for a comp. 2x allstar. I think that is possible for Scoot, never said I thought he sucked and would be a bust. I had more of an issue with people saying he was in tier with Wemby, easily 2nd best prospect in the class, calling him the best guard prospect in years, saying he was a better prospect than Ja and comparing him to Jrue and Smart on defense.

Even Westbrook, he would put up 50-60 dunks a season, is a significantly more explosive athlete and his name was brought up a ton. I doubt Scoot breaks 25 dunks this year.

This feels like a Johnny Davis situation to me.

EPM loves his defense right now. Idk if this is just an effect of him playing off the bench with Thybulle or if he is actually locking up people on that end?

His steals and blocks are really not noteworthy so interesting. I am not an expert on EPM and how it is calculated though.

He certainly has been putting alot of effort on the defensive side but still fouls alot and isnt ideal at reading plays. But he is quick and stocky so that helps.

His offense has been some of the worst I have seen from a PDX FRP since we drafted Nolan Smith.

True, but guys were puffing out their chests hard for him talking about how he was this can't miss DRose, Morant, Westbrook level guy. His athleticism alone isn't in the same galaxy as those other dudes. Like guys were freaking the eff out about him because OMG HE'S SO JACKED! Dudes were going on about how if you didn't have him above Miller & the Twins that you don't know ****. I've held back on this until now, but not anymore. These clowns need to come pay the piper.

He was not “right”. That’s the whole point. It’s way way way too early to take laps. Why don’t people get it? Sigh. Keep making the same dumb mistakes though.
