GT: Raptors @ Nets - 11/28 - 7:30

Post#1 » by Stone » Tue Nov 28, 2023 12:47 pm

The power rankings have the Raptors (21ST) one spot above the Nets (22ND). A big difference is they have only Kolioko listed as out.

Our injury report has Claxton and Cam Johnson listed as day to day and Cam Thomas, Ben and Dennis Smith Jr listed as out for tonight.

Here is a look at the "In season tournament" .....

https://www.nba.com/news/2023-nba-in-season-tournament-tracker

As for tonights game, will it be another 3 point chuck festival ? Will Mikal continue to put up numbers? Will Jacque Vaughns beard continue to mesmerize the referee's and our opponents?

Tune in tonight, same Bat time, same Bat station........

Claxton seems to do well versus Toronto, even after they finally went with a traditional C in Poeltl. His presence or absence is a big swing factor.

I'm interested to see how we guard Scottie. My guess is, Royce will get the primary assignment, with anyone capable of switching. He gives up size obviously, but you have to keep Johnson and DFS on OG and Pascal, I would think.

I hate to say, this is yet another game where Sharpe's bench boards may come in super duper handy. Let's hope he doesn't muck up too much else to neutralize that asset. Go Nets!

TOR and BKN are pretty much the same. A bunch of switchy 6'8 guys playing positionless basketball. The only difference is that TOR is bad offense, good defense and we have good offense, bad defense

Some shooters would make animal sacrifices for the open space Royce wastes.

For as much crap I give Royce, I'll say he hit timely threes tonight.

Back over .500.

Probably one of the cleanest 4th quarters has played in a while too. Feels like he always has one or two bone headed plays and tonight it was all good.
