Can start for championship caliber Celtics... not good enough to Crack the 15 player lottery bound raptors roster....

He did ok, and was good enough (and tall enough) that we'll see him on the floor again sometime. Banton's not a regular rotation guy at this time. He's got a ways to go, but could have a career if he gets stronger and keeps working.

The young player who got a chance and opened eyes more than Banton was 2-wayer Neemias Queta.

Banton earned his fourth career start – and first as a Celtic – taking Holiday’s place on the court for the opening tip. Although he started off slow, going scoreless on just one field-goal attempt in the first half, the fourth-year guard picked it up after the break. He finished with eight points, five rebounds, an assist, and just one turnover in roughly 19 minutes of action after playing just 36 minutes in six prior appearances on the season.

it's always eye-opening when you look outside the bubble of raps games to watch other teams and it's so evidently clear how far behind we are in so many ways.

Everyone acknowledged that. The problem was last year he lost a step or two laterally so his strong hands weren't as useful. Guys were blowing by him.

I will say from limited glimpses watching him this year he is moving much better. So maybe his hip or whatever was really hindering him last year and now it's better

Any game I look at I think, why can't we have a guy like that guy. Or that guy.

I don't mean the obvious stars. Just guys with a bit of athleticism and offensive skills.

Watching Kings vs Warriors and man the shooting talent is light years ahead of us. We don't even play the same sport honestly lol

Pretty sure they'll do away with the point differential criteria starting with next season's IST.

Its basketball whiplash for sure, I still think the Kings messed up by trading Haliburton but for their fans I'm happy they got such a fun team very reminiscent of the Webber/Peja/Bibby Kings. Sabonis and Fox are such a great fit and man do they have shooting in spades. Heurter, Monk, Keegan, Barnes, Lyles, Duarte, and Vezenkov can all be trusted to hit 3's at a good clip. Even Fox and Sabonis themselves are shooting well from deep. Just a super fun fast paced team, and I wouldnt be surprised if they make a run this year.

I try to be objective and think to myself that maybe it's a case of me just thinking the grass is greener on the other side. Then my son will say "None of our bench players would see playing time on these teams" or "Either of these teams would destroy us" and then I realize it's not just me. The Raptors are so bad they even bring out the hyperbole from 12-year olds lol.

Honestly I struggle to think of a NBA team that would give real minutes to our bench guys. Like we play Malachi Flynn real minutes man lmao I dont think itd be an exaggeration to say hes the worst back up PG in the NBA and Achuiwa is right behind him for worst center.

No they wouldn't be playing. The FO is forcing Darko to play them and see what they have with them. They are realizing they wouldnt fetch a bag of potatoes in the open market

Someone in the postgame thread posted a tweet simply listing the names on our roster excluding our top 6, starters+ Gary. I posted they must be the worst such group, ie 7-15, in the league. Not sure if quite true but must be close to it.

The frustrating thing about Flynn for me is bench guards are the most dime a dozen player type to find in the trade market + FA why are we wasting what is now 4 years on a guy (who wasnt a Bruno level project mind you) who was a 4 year college player? Look at the contracts guy like Monk and DeLon got and tell me we couldnt find a Flynn replacement in 4 years lol

It was a terrible idea introducing points differential into NBA games, given the unwritten rules about piling up the score when a game is over. It was bound to create some of the bad feelings we're seeing now.
