Offense is glorified street ball without Melo
Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?

Tyrese Proctor will be a fine backup guard next year.

Not going to win any game going 3-6 from the line against 16-18

Get nick smith to the g league and 35 minutes a game. Might have something with him.

I actually think LaMelo will be back in a few weeks. It sucks, but I don't think he'll miss near as many games as he did last season, and I'm not exactly the most optimistic person.

Still way too early to give up on the season.

Re: GT: Charlotte vs Knicks 11/28 7.30PM ET
I've defended Hayward a lot but we're just not going to win a game with him with 4 pts with Lamelo out. We have to scratch and claw to win a game playing like that with Lamelo. That money in the offseason will probably go to Miles and then we need to use the MLE and our pick for meaningful depth. Then we will have something.

Our net rating is horrible. We're 5-11, and we haven't led by double digits in any game I don't think..16 games! thats crazy to not be leading comfortably in any of them. Just proves that the players have quit and on top of that the east is just so much better. I really cannot see this team winning more than 32 wins. I hate it for you optimists, we all want to win

Re: GT: Charlotte vs Knicks 11/28 7.30PM ET
I watched most of the game
Mark Williams man, he needs to get in the weight room and he needs to learn how to box out. Mitchell caught him on so many lazy boxouts tonight
Hayward again proves my point that he doesn't have any athleticism anymore and cannot score at all unless wide open jumpshots. He's about as useful as Duncan Robinson now
Miller and Miles need to be more assertive. They are the only efficient creators. We lost this game in the 3rd quarter when there were way too many PJ Washington and Terry Rozier offensive possessions in a row

Re: GT: Charlotte vs Knicks 11/28 7.30PM ET
The players have their flaws, but Mitch and Clifford have failed this organization in a big way.
Clifford cannot work with what he’s got. He’s playing weird combinations of guys and taking Mark out for way too long of stretches at a time. His defensive scheme is basically double whoever has the ball and then scramble to the open three point shooter, which cascades because even if they miss that open three the offense is in great position for a rebound.
Offensively, which is where this teams strength is… there’s no offensive plays being set and zero movement. So we see guys get stuck in a crowd with nowhere to go. There’s no spacing and the defense can just stay in one spot until the shot goes up or the move to the basket is attempted.
We need our lead ball handler to dominate with magical moves through traffic to make things happen. Which LaMelo was actually doing!! But that’s certainly not sustainable or a recipe for success.
Clifford is right, you can’t win **** unless you’re a top 10 in both categories. Problem is, he can’t scheme it and he doesn’t have the combination of players to execute on what he wants to do.
Which brings me to Mitch. Our sleepy ass GM sat back in free agency, went to sleep with the MLE and totally ignored the fact that we had zero PG depth and zero front court depth. Then loaded up on combo guards to stash across the roster, most of which won’t play. We’re living in a reality where we have no point guard and no center on the court at times. And that was before the LaMelo injury. What Mitch did this season is pure malpractice.
New owners need to live up to what they’re telling us and go clean house. Pillage the best of the best from around the NBA, move some of these pieces around and put a balanced team on the court that can win. LaMelo should be the only piece off the table. If Zion is available, go do it. If there’s a team willing to give you depth pieces for Terry or Gordon, you do it. NBA championships require stars. We have one. We might have two if Miller develops but that won’t be for several more seasons. Miles is a good third piece but unreliable and no guarantee he’s resigned anyway.
Get rid of this regime and save the fans hopes. Please.

Melo getting injured is probably a good thing tbh. We need another top 5 pick.
Clifford has no idea how to coach this roster. All we can hope for is for Miller to continue to improve and Mark Williams hopefully gets stronger as the season goes.
Please don't rush Melo back this team isn't ready to make any jump even with Melo.

Gordon Batum to take a buyout at the trade deadline and sign with an LA team?
Terry to be the low percentage shot tank commander we so desperately need?

That third quarter was killer. Miller has a great 2nd quarter, then proceeds to shoot 2 shots in the 3rd quarter; like what? It feels like PJ takes a lot of the shots that Miller should have gotten. Hayward and PJ minutes have been killing us for a couple of weeks now.

The last thing this team needs is Zion. Why bring in an overpriced player that hasn't proven he can stay healthy?
