This! And honestly, we've a few bad 4th quarter play calls away from being 9-2, all while the above mentioned.

Week 2 - 1pt Loss to ATL
Week 5 - 4pt Loss to LV
Week 6 - 2pt Loss to DEN
Week 9 - 4pt Loss to PIT

Our only losses that are more than a 1 score difference are Week 4(14pt Loss to DET) and Week 7(14pt Loss to MIN).

Obviously, much to improve on, but looking through that Lense, we're in a good spot to continue to grow and move forward.

The amount of times I've heard "hErB KOhL bUCKs" with this team makes me want to punch a wall. There's no such thing as a "treadmill team" in a single-elimination playoff sport, let alone when you're the youngest team in the league by a country mile and still in the playoff race as we sit in Week 12.

Yeah, there are no similarities between NFL and NBA, especially factoring in the unpredictability of the NFL Playoffs.

The only way that things are **** up/treadmill team is if they give a massive extension to Love and he flops. Beyond that, you just want to amass as many good players as possible. As long as you aren't hamstrung by a QB and/or one other massive contract, you can have some consistent success or be one year away from it.

Yea it would really suck if our young QB played well, our Head coach coached well, and the players our GM acquired played well. That'd just be terrible

I would think Bucks fans should be familiar with treadmill teams; I'm not switching to an optimist because they beat the Chargers and Lions when I don't believe the QB, the coach, the GM, or team president are championship material. Sure tho, lock these mediocre losers up and waste the rest of the decade not winning ****.
Dude you're ready to bitch and moan if the youngest team in the league makes the POs.

None of the second half of that statement screams treadmill much less one for the NFL. Just take a breath and enjoy the ride

The fact they are in the hunt for the playoffs paying like 100 million to rodgers and bakt is good enough for me.

Not to mention your best offensive player and two of your top defenders have missed most of the year

I can't believe people are complaining about a young team coming developing and possibly making the playoffs... Sure, I want the packers to get the best player in the draft... but they're winning and they're young. If you want to tank and follow a tanking team, theres like the same 5 or so teams that do it every year. go be a fan of the bears or panthers and come back. Those teams have some of the absolute front offices, owners, and players.

my only issue with the packers has been Joe Barry and he's outperformed expectations (even if he's playing against some really bad offenses).

The only thing I'll concede to the "I wanna embrace the suck" crowd is that if we make the playoffs with the defense beating up on some garbage offenses only to be one-and-done with Joe Barry somehow surviving another season as DC. That would indeed be a borderline disaster scenario.

This is absolutely fair and probably likely. I don't think the defense has been bad enough go get Barry fired unfortunately

If they finish the season strong, I can't see Barry getting canned. If the defense continues to look competent, he might not even deserve to be.

Yeah I hate Barrys death by a thousand cuts strategy but all in all the D has been fine this season especially considering the dudes they are currently playing in the secondary.

I like to see him replaced but I'm not expecting it at this point.

The defense hasn't been "fine" this season though. They were 22nd in DVOA just a week ago. Horrid run defense (28th) again, garbage at creating takeaways (28th), and the bend-but-don't-break approach has resulted in us still being near dead last (31st) in opponent TOP and number of plays per drive. Barry hasn't outperformed expectations in the slightest even with the good showing against Detroit (they still gave up 464 yards lol).

If this pathetically low of a bar is good enough for him to save his job yet again, then I might even have to start agreeing with the fire MLF/Gute crowd. I just refuse to believe with all the other smart things we do as an organization, that we'd be this stubbornly attached to a guy who has no successful DC resume to speak of.

Yeah I'm definitely not dieing on Barry's hill. They can fire him into the sun.

I guess why I say fine it's probably because I think the talent on the D isn't that great and it's overrated by a lot some fans.

Unrelated but Around the Horn popped up on TV after NFL live. I haven’t seen it in like five years. Bob Ryan looks like he is on his deathbed compared to the last time I have seen him on TV.

Not good.

Really need Reed and Jaire to go. Wicks would be good too.
