Re: Bucks News, Transactions, Trade Ideas
Pat/Young guy (other than AJax)/Por 2nd for the best wing defender we can get
Caruso would be my first choice, Thybulle 2nd, unsure after that. Apparently he’s more valuable than what we could offer, so go Thybulle if that’s the case

What are you even talking about? Prove it, I want examples of lost athleticism and his empty stats. If you are not a fan of DFS, fine, but throwing out baseless vague counterpoints is not an acceptable argument. Also, please do not provide some obscure stat line to as proof, I would like to see video proof of this lost athleticism.
Also, if the trade is to make him the back up 3/4/5, I would venture to say his athleticism far outweighs Bobby, Robin, and Jae making him an upgrade in that department. The fact that DFS also is a good 3 point shooter helps with spacing and the more space created for Dame and Giannis the more dangerous this team is, in my opinion.
Would love to find a younger player that fits the DFS mold that could contribute immediately on a contender that is remotely attainable, I do not know who that player is, so until a better idea is proposed, DFS it is.
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

DFS was like, #6 amongst PF's in DRPM last season, and he's routinely a role guy who's in the upper echelons of advanced defensive metrics. He's literally the complete opposite of an empty stats guy lol.

He was 16th. And to be frank, there was something weird going on with DRPM last season. Kyrie, Herro, Dinwiddie, and Deangelo **** Russell, Desmond Bane, and Buddy Hield ranked as elite defenders from the guard position.

I got the years mixed up. He was 6th in 2022. Point still stands.

7th. And to be frank, there was something weird going on with DRPM. Kyrie, Herro, Dinwiddie, and Deangelo **** Russell, Desmond Bane, and Buddy Hield ranked as elite defenders from the guard position. That's the metric we want to hang our hat on here? Guys a good defender, not elite imo.
I personally will miss RAPTOR.

Re: Bucks News, Transactions, Trade Ideas
RAPM casts DFS as an above avg defender. No matter how you slice it over the past five years, he lands in the mid 100s in terms of rank. RAPM actually has him as a better offensive player.

Any stat that has Herro as a plus defender needs to be trashed. I don't think Miami goes on their run last year with Herro. I think I could get by him with my walker.

Portis for Kenrich and Poku.

I kept coming back to this trade in the summer.
It would be such a swindle. Not only would Quickley give us a good POA defender, and a younger shot creator for the present and future, but hartenstein would fit what we need better than Bobby would.
It would be a massive trade for us.

I’m pretty sure the ship has sailed with their hot start, and his sizable jump in production, but I’d certainly call about Suggs.

Surely Cleveland don't want to pay Isaac Okoro. I'd offer Pat plus the Blazers pick and say take it or leave it.
But then I guess we'd have to pay him or let him walk for nothing...

I’d think the Knicks could get an actual first for Quickley.

If the owners are fine with a larger tax bill, then it’s not that big of a deal. Outside of locking them deep into the second apron for the next two seasons at least which would make future trades more difficult.

They're 20 points/100 worse with him on the floor this year. As for proving the loss of athleticism, what do you want me to do? Buy you a TV? I'll do it, but you better not ask me to hang out on the wall too!

Oh, so he ranked higher BEFORE he got his contract and started losing his athleticism?

I have very few ideas of who it is, though, apart from speculative guys to roll the dice on, which we don't really have space for, either on the roster or operationally. I'd be all over Otto Porter if he wasn't one of the more injury prone guys to ever lace them up. But so would everybody else.
I agree. I feel dirty bashing others ideas without offering my own, but the right guy doesn't exist right now. There's not even the guys available who could be the late blooming breakout guys.
