We have a very strong first unit but our bench needs some reinforcements so we still keep the same level even when players are resting and in time for a very competitive postseason.
We will surely be in play for buyout players after the trade deadline but who would you want to target as early as now?
I have a few that I think would be good targets:
Davis Bertans - A stretch big who plays with KP in Latvia. He can really space the floor and play quality big man minutes
Marcus Morris - Another stretch big who's played in Boston and can provide toughness inside and out
Landry Shamet - We need a sixth man who can score in different ways for additional threat from the outside
Jock Landale - A Daniel Theis mold but bigger who can provide length and toughness inside
Do you agree with these players?
Who else do you think can be targeted?

no to any of these. they are all worse than our current top 9.

Alec Burks and Gallinari are the best two potential buyout guys they could get imo. I'd take Blake back as a buyout guy as well.

Who do you consider #9? Horford/Hauser/Pritchard seem locked in #6-8 but not sure anyone else is better than most of the guys on that list.

I’d consider kornet nr 9 and he’s likely better than Landale from that list. Landale might be better in a vacuum but considering the institutional knowledge and system familiarity kornet has, it’s unlikely Landale would help us more imo

Landry Shamet is not someone you get for different ways to score the bucket. He just shoots threes. And he hasn't been very good at that for some time.

JFC, shouldn't basic knowledge of how this league works be required for posting on 'RealGM'?
Davis Bertans makes $17M this year who are you trading for him?

Marcus Morris makes $17M this year, who are you trading for him?

Landry Shamet $10M you're getting closer

Jock Landale makes $8M so cool now tell us the four or five players you are going to trade to bring in a guy averaging 2 and 2 on 35/20/100 shooting splits to -- in your words -- "still keep the same level even when players are resting"
Before you answer, consider that Jock Landale has a BPM of -5.3 (career -1.1), VORP of -0.1 (career 0.4), TO% of 22 (career 13), and a total rebound percentage under 12 (career 14)

Sorry for the rant. Rough morning I guess and looking for a RealGM pick-me-up, I found the opposite.
My suggestion -- beyond Blake or the buyout market -- to improve the bench is to continue to play and develop them -- like Joe has started to with Queta and Banton. Specifically, time to give Lamar Stevens the chances that Oshae hasn't yet taken advantage of.
With an All-Star top 6, there is going to be a bench drop off. That just is what it is.
And no one is going to give us gold for vet min bench fodder that hasn't had a chance to shine on the court yet.

Don't think we could get much on the trade market. Buyouts it is.

That's ok. We need people to eat some regular season minutes. We don't need to change the playoff rotation. Good enough to play 10 minutes is all we need.
Just keep playing Banton IMO. He can defend different positions, he's got some floor game that'll come out with reps. We have 4 other guys who can score the ball on the floor with him, it can work.
