How did we win that today. The Clippers may be worse than I thought.

Klay and kuminga played their best game of the season thus far.

Podz was a huge energy boost off the bench.

The Clippers were playing their 3rd game in 4 nights and on a b2b while the dubs were rested. They had no legs from the tip.

Thanks for the synopsis. Shame I missed it. Never gets old beating Harden and Westbrick.

I remember hearing chirps of Russ being better than Curry. Russ got humbled quick after leaving OKC.

Russ still has plenty of energy and athleticism, he just can't play basketball anymore. He's another older player that couldn't adapt his game, but is smart enough to know it so doesn't need to be the star anymore.

He's alot like gp2 now, but without the defense.

It was really nice to Jk and Podz and CoJo all have good games. I had big doubts about Podz at the draft and in SL and preseason, but its looking like he has staying power as an nba rotation player.

Don't be so hard on yourself. The fact that others can look to you, do the opposite and have a reasonable expectation of success is your hidden superpower. :D

I hope Kerr took Kuminga aside after the game and pointed out that this is exactly the kind of controlled game they need from him (not too aggressive he gets out of control but not so passive he has no impact). It looked like Saric was telling him something like that when he went to the bench. Whether he can pull that off consistently is another thing though.

I feel like JK only grasps this concept every other game. One game I’m saying to myself this dude is pewp, and the next game he looks like a future all star.

LOL A lot like GP2 except doesn't have the skill that makes GP2 good. Wasn't Russ a good defender at UCLA?! That's what he was known for as well as his athleticism? I know the game is slower and easier, but Russ never leaned into defense in the NBA.

It is extremely early in the season to say so, but his defense has noticeably spiked this year. First game of the Clips I saw this year (even though I heavy bet the under at 46.5 this year and am really liking that right now) and his defense wasn't at GP2 level, but it looked pretty solid.. metrics like it, baseline tracking likes it.. I'm actually really impressed with Russ. Aging with grace doesnt happen terribly often in sports. Its sure better than the alternative

Russ can play D when motivated but it seems his motivation on D hasn't been seen since KD/Westbrook days.

Its not that he was never any good at defense, its that the expectations were a lot higher based on the crazy athleticism, and he instead used up most of his energy to be a ball-dominant guy/rebounder instead of playing better individual defense. He was an excellent thief back in his day at least

If anything, OKC fans have to be frustrated knowing that he could have turned on the hustle like this at any time if he just deferred more to teammates. He left a lot of value on the table pursuing stuff like Oscar Robertson and gaudy stats

I left too, hahaha. Unfortunately, I ended up in paradise, but people found out too. Now, the most expensive place to live in America. And the problems in Bay Area are starting here too.

I never got all the CoJo hate. Dude is perfect for what he was brought in for: a cheap, competent, 3rd string PG to back up 2 brilliant but aging stars. Maybe questionable utility now with combo-guard Podz in the mix, but may well prove more valuable as injuries mount. He's not going to blow you away, but at least he takes care of the damn ball (3.6 A/TO) and understands his role, usually isn't trying to shoot you out of a game.

Really good sign from a shooting standpoint this game...

- Draymond! 3 ball and free throws looking great this season
- Kuminga! When he shoots well, it unlocks so much of his game.
- Loved seeing Klay and Moody struggle early but not get discouraged (moody) or start chucking (Klay). Both stayed the course and ended up having great scoring impact in 2nd half
- Podz is getting more and more confidence letting it fly

We are a pretty good team when we shoot well (I know, expert analysis by this guy)

He is SF (Tatum is SF and Boston plays with one PF/C - Porzingis) and there is an urge to win now. He could be next Poole, I am not convinced about his BB IQ yet.

Tatum is a real 6'9". JK is 6'6" and Kerr wants him to play PF. Even putting Wiggins and Klay at PF is stupid.

Moody getting some time replacing Wiggins is good. Time with starters. Time closing games.

Wiggins was gone last year but we needed to win those games. Lamb knew what he was doing. This year’s Moody is better than last year’s Moody. I think this year’s Moody is better than Lamb unless you need a back up power forward. Last year’s Lamb was better than last year’s Moody and Kuminga.
