They also just get the ball to operate the offense rather than having someone else who's clearly not as good run it. This is a coaching thing. The key thing here is their teams don't just have them stand off in a corner somewhere for large parts of the game. Lebron does it at times to get a breather.
During the offseason after Darko was immediately signed, all we heard was that Barnes would get the ball a ton to make decisions with the ball. That all changed in interviews with Darko after Schroder was signed. You can almost see the shift in thought process after the Germany run and Schroder himself basically gave it away that he would start and handle the point. Seems to me like either it was part of the signing negotiations or he and Darko had a talk and Darko shifted his thought process.
But, Darko seems to be throwing a lot of **** at the wall to see what sticks including Nurse's philosophies, so I'm sure he will eventually figure it out.
