He sucked big time tonight BUT he did make a couple good passes that weren't assists because the shots didn't go in.

As troubling as his play has been for someone who'll be paid like a GOAT (straightjacketing the franchise in the process), there's been some signs of hope regarding sharing the ball more.

He didn’t have it tonight - something was off. Yet he led the team in steals - 4, and blocks -2. He was disruptive defensively too. No assists …. but it’s hard to get them when your pocket is getting picked so often.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

Not just because this team needs to do it in the last two rounds, but because you can’t take anything from regular season games a lot of the time lol. Bulls are an epic disaster, and beat the bucks last night. The Nuggets just came off losing 5 of 7. Bad teams getting hot from 3, guys relaxing, etc, that stuff has caused infinite more parody during the regular season.

Assuming this is intentional.

Nice win.

VC to Al and White. They both did a lot of good things.

Brown was bad. 0 assists in 35 minutes. But he was great at getting in the passing lanes and getting steals.

Tatum was great scoring. But the only thing that held him from getting 10 TOs or more was the ref that throw him out.

Pritchard played well after a low start. Finishing with 10 points and 5 assists and 0 TOs.

Hauser played well in the 1st half and then disappeared in the 2nd.

Queta was active. 5 points and 5 rebounds in only 10 minutes and he only took 1 shot.

Joe got outcoached in a big way. Nurse is a really good coach. There was no excuse for playing Kornet. He was terrible in his 1st stint and for some reason he was back in the game a 2nd time. No excuse. Best worst -9 for Kornet. His 7 minutes should have gone to Queta.

Meanwhile Brissett and Stevens are in still in the dog house.

This should have been a 20-point lead in the first half and they should have posted their way through the second half.

It reminded me of one of those Miami playoff games where there is absolutely no reason for us not to win the game and yet it’s a disaster

This is such a ridiculous overreaction.
It’s an 82 game season, we’re going to have games we look mediocre at times against an inferior opponent.
Comparing it to those Miami playoff games make no sense when you remember we lost these type of games.

We’ve been the best team in the league this season, stop getting emotional & using one game sample sizes to determine the type of team we are this year.

The decision to bring Kornet late in the 4th wasn’t great from Joe but to act like he was a reason this game was so close is such a lazy analysis from some fans in here.

Turnovers & lack of effort on defence were the main problems this game. That’s on the players, not the coach.

Tatum was efficient on offense, but 7 to's and got (rightfully I thought) thrown out of the game. A weird game from him. He's has some of these type of games lately. -7 tonight despite the efficient scoring. The TO"s will have that effect.

Brown had a tough night offensively. Just looked out of sync. Did a better job moving the ball and didn't commit a turnover in the second half. finished 8-20 which isn't amazing but for an off night its fine. Thought he was awesome on defense. 4 seals, two blocks, multiple deflections or knocking balls lose. Contributed despite the shooting struggles, +10 on the night.

White was awesome. The guy just plays under control. Nothing he does wows you, just fundamentally sound. He takes over the league wide plus/minus crown from Tatum tonight with a +20.

Al looked 10 years younger as well. He's been great recently.

Hopefully KP is back for IND game.

At what point do we get worried about Tatum's turnovers? He's had 21 more turnovers than Jaylen up to this point of the season which is kinda gross

1 in a million. I'm not worried about Tat. None of this matters in the playoffs where he's been excellent time and time again. he'll raise the trophy and all will be forgiven!

He's been pretty terrible with turnovers throughout the season

Also, I think its tougher than one would expect to play against these heavily undermanned teams. Kinda like us vs Milwaukee led by Dwhite last season. Sixers without Embiid and Maxey are a completely different team with a different gameplan that you do not see coming into the game. Also, those guys that do play want to show that they can play and are extra hungry.

It was an ugly win but its not as simple as saying we should have beaten Philly by 30 without Embiid or Maxey. If we played again in 2 days against the same players, we probably beat them comfortably

Jayson Tatum had 7 turnovers in game 6 of the 2022 ECF.

It’s a regular occurrence for him and Brown against handsy teams

STILL rare but go off.

handsy is fouling that isn't called btw. they also illegally screen with the best of them (Mia).

Agreed, but that's the NBA, has been since the start, you can't continue to cry to the ref and expect to raise the trophy at the season's end

Our key guys play like finesse front runners expecting the refs to bail them out. Not gonna happen every game. Even worse in playoffs. I don't like the refs just swallowing the whistles, a cowards way out of calling a game. But that's how it is and the Js should emulate Holiday - just stay focused and play thru it

Celtics still undefeated at home. Horford and White are consistenly awesome. Plenty of rest for Tatum. 11 pts on 5 shots for Hauser. Things could be worse.

Not sure any basketball fan on Earth outside of the Beverley family enjoys watching a Pat Bev masterclass

35-yo player or older putting up 25/5/5 against the Celtics all-time -- Lenny Wilkens, Lebron, Elgin Baylor (3x), and... Pat **** Beverley.

How does a supposedly good defensive team give up 26 points to that bum Beverly, its unreal.
