Doesn’t it annoy you equally as much watching Khris on D, knowing he’s making 30 million a year to boot?

Beas seems to have chemistry with everyone. They constantly look for dude and he keeps knocking shots down.

you see Dame locking up Trae on one of the very last Atlanta possessions? beautiful.

i think a big part of it is obviously guys like Giannis and Brook emptying the tank at the end, but it's also aided by the fact that our offense is so effective that teams are not getting transition opportunities.

MarJon with +14 shows that individual +- is meaningless.

Players are taught how to run a fast break in grade school and yet MarJon has no clue.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Great game by Payne.

On to the knockout round with the Knicks!

And only 2 FT. Welcome to the Milwaukee whistle.

Yeah, knocked to floor like 5 times. Attempt 2 free throws.

Welcome to Milwaukee.

*I meant you quote your post earlier, not my own lol.

So funny maybe 2 weeks ago people were saying Beas sucks and he needs to be cut or traded, now they love him.

A team with Giannis & Dame with no hope in the playoffs? Really?

any stat in a single game is meaningless. but if he was +14 i guarantee he contributed considering on/offs are the single most important stat over time

and i do think marjon stinks but if he was part of runs then it still matters. ive gone back and forth on single game on/offs but its still a way to measure somebody who doesnt put up a ton of line stats

Khris worries me more than he annoys me. Yes, Khris's lack of mobility these days is a major concern on defense. However, Khris has offense that translates very very well to the playoffs so it counterbalances things. Offensively, he's worth every penny. He's taking a back seat in shot attempts now with Dame here and the minutes restriction is a big nuisance but come playoff time it's going to be a luxury to be able to have him out there. You saw what he did in the Miami series without another creator on the court with him for the majority of it. Now he's going to have Giannis and Dame and all the space in the world to cook.

Beasley is almost entirely a catch and shoot specialist. He's shown some other wrinkles here and there like some driving ability, a floater, stop and pop mid range, etc.., but i dont envision his skillset consistently translating to success against tough playoff D like he's going to see against Boston, Philly, New York, and Cleveland. The offense isn't always going to be able to generate looks for him.

so that's my Ted Talk on why I dont mind Khris sucking on defense as much as Beasley.

Transition offense was one of his strengths coming into the nba. We were happy to have somebody fly around with Giannis. But like a lot of raw, athletic guys coming in, once they get around other nba athletes and start to look average in that department.

I’d agree if he looked fit enough for 30 mins a game of high intensity playoff basketball; he doesn’t now and I don’t foresee that changing by April.

With this defense we're never going to win 120-104 because there's no way we're holding anyone to 104.

There was definitely the narrative that he was high usage and going to take shots away from Giannis and Dame. So far I think he is the lowest usage player in the starting lineup.

quite honestly, i'm encouraged by the way we are playing. we have proven time and again that we can put the clamps on late. we are obviously an elite offense when we choose to run plays (which lately has been early and late). take out all the riff raff players and put in our best 8 guys playing high minutes and i actually think we are set up very well for playoff success.

now, if we play exactly like this in the playoffs, it will be hard. but i'm assuming the intensity will be higher on a more consistent basis when the games matter more.

I agree; I thought they looked a lot better tonight. There were more cuts and better spacing. You know, like real plays. And everyone looks improved when the shots go in.

The defense at the end of the game was great (helped by the fact that all of a sudden the Hawks couldn't hit ****) but, again, Lopez has been very, very good when needed and even Bobby played a bit of defense. And Dame and Beas do try.

Trae Young, when he's hot, is very, very good and jc do the Hawks run floater shot drills every day?

Oh yeah, and I forgot "Giannis Stanchion Stare." Marques is a treasure.

No matter what this is a good win. Atlanta is a bad matchup for us and Murray and Young were on heaters. Glad we have 2 days off to clean some stuff up for the only tourney that matters in December.

Nehm asked Griff what they did defensively down the stretch to get stops and he replied, "Not sure exactly what we did but we did it great..."
